DFWAC hosts interactive meeting with external clients to enhance service quality and user experience
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: In line with its commitment to engaging clients in the design and continuous improvement of services, the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) organized an interactive meeting with external clients aimed at identifying their needs, understanding their expectations, and gathering feedback on the services provided. The session was attended by HE Shaikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director General of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, along with directors and staff members from the relevant departments. The Meeting provided an opportunity to present key outcomes of the Foundation's programs and services, discuss challenges faced by clients, and review suggestions for enhancing service quality and ensuring long-term sustainability to achieve the highest levels of client satisfaction The External Clients Meetings are part of the ' Imprint' initiative, launched by the Foundation in 2022. This initiative comprises a series of pioneering projects, including regular engagement Meetings with both internal and external clients, as well as an annual survey that evaluates the client experience across three core dimensions: satisfaction, trust, and quality. Additionally, the Foundation is preparing to launch the Service Design Challenge from the Client's Perspective later this year, a project designed to strengthen client engagement and position clients as key partners in the journey towards continuous improvement and service excellence. During the session, HE Shaikha Saeed Al Mansouri emphasized the Foundation's belief in the importance of collaborative work with clients and the value of listening directly to their voices. She noted that these sessions reflect the Foundation's ongoing commitment to understanding clients' real needs, drawing inspiration from their insights, and integrating their constructive feedback into developing more comprehensive and impactful services She added that the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children places the highest priority on client experience and strives continuously to enhance its programs and services to meet expectations and improve quality of life. This is achieved through psychological and social support programs, comprehensive rehabilitation services, and holistic care offerings provided around the clock, with a focus on empowering women and children to reintegrate confidently into society and rebuild their lives with safety and stability The Meeting also featured a special recognition of a group of clients who demonstrated exceptional engagement and contributed valuable feedback and suggestions that helped enhance service quality. Dubai, UAE: The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) welcomed a delegation from 'SEED', a non-profit development foundation, led by its President, Ms. Sherri Kraham visit aimed to strengthen international cooperation and foster the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and successful practices in the care and protection of women and children. The visit featured a comprehensive tour of the Foundation's facilities, where the delegation was briefed on the specialized programs and high-quality services provided to support the most vulnerable groups. The tour included the shelters, purposefully designed to offer a safe and supportive environment that fosters psychological and social development. The delegation also visited the Care and Rehabilitation Department, which encompasses dedicated spaces for psychological support, group therapy sessions, and individual counseling all tailored to help clients restore their emotional well-being and achieve social reintegration. Shams Al Muhairi, Director of the Awareness and Community Services Department at the foundation, stressed that the DFWAC has become a leading example in developing an integrated care system for women and children, emphasising that the foundation delivers specialised, holistic services through a team of qualified professionals who work with deep compassion and commitment. 'Our goal is to serve as both a knowledge hub and a centre for international cooperation in the field of social welfare,' she said. 'We are always open to exchanging expertise and building partnerships with regional and international organisations that share our humanitarian mission,' Al Muhairi said. During the visit, the delegation reviewed best practices and services offered by the foundation to support victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and child abuse. The discussions also explored opportunities to deepen cooperation and exchange knowledge and successful strategies in this critical field. Dubai Foundation for Women and Children inaugurates first residential Youth Hostel for male children
UAE, Dubai, Reinforcing the role of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) in caring for and rehabilitating the groups most in need of care, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, inaugurated the Youth Hostel, a specialized home for the care of male children aged 12 to 17 years within its premises. This significant step reflects DFWAC's advanced strategy in social welfare and demonstrates its commitment to providing comprehensive services that promote rehabilitation and social integration according to the highest international standards. Located within its premises, the newly inaugurated facility will significantly support the foundation's long-term strategy to provide inclusive and comprehensive services that promote rehabilitation and community reintegration in line with the highest international standards. The inauguration of the new Youth Hostel was attended by Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai and Chairman of the Emirates Talent Association; H.E. The expansion is part of DFWAC's ongoing efforts to broaden its services to cover all children, irrespective of gender, ensuring that no child facing the threat of violence is left without protection and care. Beyond its immediate impact, it will contribute to the ongoing development of Dubai's social welfare system, in line with the Child Rights Law and the strategic goals outlined in Dubai's Social Agenda 33. Comprehensive and Holistic Support This Youth Hostel will provide comprehensive support services, including a safe housing, access to clothing, nutrition, transportation, and recreational activities. Beyond these basics, children will benefit from advanced educational and healthcare support, as well as psychological and social rehabilitation programmes. Legal assistance is also available, aiming to help residents overcome trauma and rebuild stable, secure futures. Staffed by a multidisciplinary team—including a facility director, legal experts, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and residential supervisors—the youth hostel provides personalised, around-the-clock care. The team ensures that each child receives personalised care in a nurturing and structured environment. Rapid Response the newly inaugurated facility will feature a flexible admission system that allows for immediate response to cases referred by relevant authorities, following completion of the required legal procedures. It is designed to offer timely and specialised care while ensuring safety, dignity, and continuity of support. Her Excellency Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director General of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children stated, " The Youth Hostel represents more than just a new facility—it reflects our steadfast commitment to ensuring that no child is left to face hardship alone by establishing a comprehensive care system that provides children with safety, stability, and the support they need to heal". She added that through close collaboration with partners and by aligning efforts and strategies, they aim to create a better and safer future for children who have experienced hardship or trauma. Al Mansouri added that the foundation is committed to ensuring continuity of care and rehabilitation services while reinforcing its role as a leading institution in developing sustainable, long-term solutions for child protection and recovery. She added that this expansion is aligned with the Year of Community 2025, which aims to develop an integrated social system that promotes children's well-being and helps build brighter, more secure futures. Al Mansouri explained that the youth hostel offers a different, holistic, family-like care approach specifically designed for children's needs. It includes a full range of recreational, educational, and health resources, as well as programmes focused on fostering independence, improving life skills, and helping them move towards a secure and lasting future. It is worth noting that the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children is the first licensed non-profit shelter in the UAE for women and children, victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. Established in 2007, the foundation provides protection and immediate support to vulnerable groups in accordance with the highest international standards. DFWAC Wins Kafa Award for Innovation in Combating Violence Against Women
The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has been honoured with the prestigious Kafa Award for its innovative Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) program, recognized as the best initiative in the Arab world for combating violence against women . The award was presented during the 53rd International Women's Empowerment and Capacity Building Organisation (Tamkeen) Conference in Kuwait. DFWAC's AAT program, one of the first of its kind in the region, provides psychological empowerment, emotional support, and integrated treatment for women and children affected by addiction and abuse. The program's success has earned widespread acclaim for addressing the unique needs of vulnerable groups while fostering a culture of protection and empowerment. In accepting the award, Shaikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director-General of DFWAC, emphasized the Foundation's commitment to innovation in therapeutic services. She dedicated the honour to the UAE's leadership, which prioritizes women's empowerment and protection, and reaffirmed DFWAC's dedication to improving the lives of survivors through integrated care and sustainable support.
