Birmingham Public Library's Springville Road branch to host conservation and recycling hip-hop program
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Birmingham Public Library is hosting a free hip-hop program later this month to promote conservation and recycling.
Shaheed and DJ Supreme, who recently performed at the Central Library's 'Loud at the Library' punk show, will perform a free concert at the BPL's Springville Road Regional Branch.
'Conservative Collaboration with Shaheed and DJ Supreme' will take place on Wednesday, March 26, from 2- 3 p.m.
Alabama House passes grocery tax cut bill
The event is a group effort between the BPL, the Springville Road Library Youth Department, Birmingham City Council District One and Black Warrior Riverkeeper.
'Black Warrior Riverkeeper has enjoyed countless collaborations over the years with Shaheed and DJ Supreme, Birmingham City Council District 1 and the Birmingham Public Library,' Charles Scribner, executive director of Black Warrior Riverkeeper, said in a statement. 'I am so excited that these four distinct partners will soon join forces all at once, under the same roof, free to all!'
