Bangladesh In Turmoil: Army Chief General Zaman Vs Mohammad Yunus As Political Crisis Deepens
After Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country in 2024, interim leader Mohammad Yunus tightened their grip on Bangladesh's political scene. Army Chief General Waqar Uz Zaman, who reportedly ensured Hasina's safe exit, has become a prominent critic of Yunus, intensifying tensions amid rising radical influence and delayed elections. Tensions between General Zaman and Yunus have escalated since the latter ordered the release of radical and terror-linked prisoners. In March, General Zaman warned of a potential major terror attack due to the unchecked presence of extremists. A month later, he opposed the proposed Rakhine Corridor project with Myanmar. Recently, he demanded early elections to protect democracy, a direct challenge to Yunus. In today's DNA, Rahul Sinha, Managing Editor of Zee News analysed the ongoing political situation in Bangladesh and the face-off between Army Chief and Mohammad Yunus. Watch Today's Full Episode: देखिए #DNA LIVE Rahul Sinha के साथ#ZeeLive #ZeeNews #DNAWithRahulSinha #IndiaPakistanNews #DonaldTrump @RahulSinhaTV — Zee News (@ZeeNews) May 22, 2025 Despite multiple promises, elections have yet to be held. Yunus's advisors first hinted at a January 2025 date, but no official announcement followed. Instead, student leaders linked to Yunus launched a new party—NCP—which has failed to gain significant public support. According to a February 2025 opinion poll, Khaleda Zia's BNP led with 17 per cent support, Jamaat-linked parties followed at 12 per cent, Hasina's Awami League held 6 per cent, while NCP received a mere 2.1 per cent. Even in exile, Sheikh Hasina remains more popular than Yunus's proxies, and Khaleda Zia's return has further challenged Yunus's grip.

Jyoti Malhotra Spying Case: Decoding Pakistans Operation Ayyaar Against India
At the time when India was targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, Pakistan was running a secret operation against India that can be called 'Operation Ayyaar'. In today's DNA, Rahul Sinha, Managing Editor, of Zee News, analysed Pakistan's secret Operation Ayyaar against India. 'Ayyaar' means a person who is skilled at changing their appearance, a person who is skilled at deception. From the 9th to the 12th century, warriors who worked as spies from Iran to Iraq were called Ayyaar. Ayyaar, or you could say spies, are mainly of two types: one is patriotic and are those who live in other countries and spy for their own country and the second type of spies are those who live in their own country and spy for the enemy. In the last 5 days, 11 Ayyaar have been arrested on charges of espionage from three states of the country: Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana. Among them are 9 men and 2 women. Many revelations are being made in the Pakistan Ayyaar module that is being exposed but the most shocking revelation has been about Pakistan's hybrid espionage nexus because this is the first time that an influencer has been accused of espionage. Jyoti, who was plotting against the country, left clues at every step, which became the reason for her arrest. If you look at the history of this Spy Commission of Pakistan, you too will feel that the name of the Pakistan High Commission should be changed to Pakistan Spy Commission. Pakistan is not capable of taking on India with the strength of weapons and Pakistan itself knows this. That is why it prepared an army of spies through Operation Ayyaar but this Ayyaar army of Pakistan has also failed.

Time To Rip Pakistan Of Its Nuclear Weapons? Terrorists, Turkey Pose Grave Threat
Following the success of Operation Sindoor, Pakistan's nuclear rhetoric is once again under the spotlight. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, addressing troops in Badami Bagh Cantonment, Jammu & Kashmir, raised concerns over Pakistan's repeated nuclear threats and hinted at the possibility of international scrutiny over its nuclear arsenal. United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres recently reiterated that 'the only way to eliminate the nuclear threat is to eliminate nuclear weapons.' Though direct dismantling of another country's nuclear arsenal is not part of India's military doctrine, Singh's remarks suggest that placing Pakistan's nuclear weapons under scrutiny could be the first step towards curbing nuclear blackmail. In today's DNA, Zee News Managing Editor Rahul Sinha analysed whether the time has come to strip Pakistan of its nuclear weapons. देखिए #DNA LIVE Rahul Sinha के साथ#TrumpUTurn #ZeeLive #ZeeNews #DNAWithRahulSinha #UnitedStates #DonaldTrump #IndiaPakistanNews #BoycottTurkey@RahulSinhaTV — Zee News (@ZeeNews) May 15, 2025 Historically, Pakistan has used its nuclear weapons as a strategic deterrent since its 1998 nuclear tests. However, growing concerns now indicate that Pakistan fears losing control over its nuclear arsenal. These are the possible global routes to limit Pakistan's nuclear threat, including IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) – However, Pakistan is not a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), limiting IAEA's authority over its arsenal and UNSC (United Nations Security Council) – India can raise Pakistan's nuclear threats at this platform, seeking sanctions or global monitoring. Yet, China's potential veto in support of Pakistan remains a significant challenge. Concerns are also rising that other actors, such as Turkey or terror groups like TTP, may attempt to gain access to Pakistan's nuclear weapons. Reports suggest Turkish President Erdogan may have ambitions of accessing nuclear capability via Pakistan. Historically, countries like South Africa, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine have surrendered their nuclear programs, setting a precedent. For Pakistan, surrendering its arsenal may now be the only responsible course amid internal instability and external interest in its nuclear assets.

Big Action Against Pakistan Loading? PM Modi, NSA Doval's Key Meet Ahead Of Mock Drill Sparks Speculation
Amid tensions between India and Pakistan at the LoC following the Pahalgam terror attack, the latest meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval was one of the day's biggest developments. PM Modi and Doval held a one-on-one discussion lasting approximately 40 minutes. The meeting at the Prime Minister's residence raised questions about whether this meeting could mark the final nod toward a potential military response. In today's episode of DNA, ZEE News elaborated and analysed the importance of the meeting and what its possible outcome is. It comes just before nationwide mock drills involving air raid sirens and shortly after an earlier meeting involving the Defence Secretary, PM Modi, and NSA Doval. The discussions, sources suggest, are part of ongoing deliberations in response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam. With nearly two weeks having passed since the attack, public pressure and political momentum for retaliatory action against Pakistan have been mounting. Pakistan, already rattled by the Indian Air Force's ongoing military drills, is reportedly unsettled by the series of high-level meetings in New Delhi. Today's Modi-Doval meeting is being viewed as a potential strategic checkpoint, possibly finalising preparations for a retaliatory operation. In this closed-door session, PM Modi is said to have reaffirmed the military's mandate to act freely against terror threats. NSA Doval will continue to oversee the strategic coordination and intelligence flow necessary for the success of any military operation. All major intelligence agencies are believed to be sharing critical inputs with the NSA, which is in turn refining operational readiness with the armed forces. Over the past 24 hours, PM Modi and NSA Doval have met twice. On Monday, Doval and Home Secretary Govind Mohan joined the Prime Minister for a separate review of national security preparedness. That same day, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh also met with PM Modi for a meeting lasting over 30 minutes. These back-to-back meetings indicate a flurry of high-level coordination ahead of an expected Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) session scheduled for tomorrow. As per protocol, any decision to initiate or halt military action is taken by the CCS. While the President serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, it is the Prime Minister who historically announces decisions related to war—just as in 1999, 1971, 1965, and 1962. With national sentiment intensifying and high-level consultations gaining pace, signs suggest that India may be inching closer to a decisive move.

General Asim Munirs Foolproof ‘Musharraf Model' Plan: Signs Of Coup In Pakistan As Army Tightens Grip On Sharif Government
Coup In Pakistan? The Government of Pakistan is facing a biggest threat, not from India, but from its own Army. With three new moves by General Munir, signs of a coup are now emerging in Pakistan. According to sources, after the Pahalgam terror attack, tensions between the army and the government in Pakistan have escalated. The situation is such that General Munir's army could stage a coup at any moment. In Pakistan, on General Munir's orders, the National Security Advisor was appointed overnight. ISI Chief Asim Malik was made the National Security Advisor (NSA) to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. It is believed that ISI Chief Asim Malik is close to Army Chief Asim Munir. Before becoming the ISI Chief, Asim Malik also served as the Adjutant General at the Pakistani army headquarters. During his tenure there, former Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested—a fact that remains unchanged as he is still in jail. Today, we will analyze in simple language General Munir's 'Musharraf Model' of coup. General Munir has prepared a foolproof plan for a coup in Pakistan. Even Shehbaz Sharif's loyalists are now following Munir's orders. Shehbaz Sharif's ministers are reading scripts written by General Munir in front of the media. You should carefully watch a video from Pakistan shown in today's DNA espisode. In this video, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is holding a press conference with a military officer. During the press conference, a journalist asked Ishaq Dar a question. Instead of answering, Dar began shuffling papers. Then, Pakistani Army spokesperson Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, sitting next to him, passed him a slip. Dar read the note and then answered. This video clearly shows that even the country's Deputy Prime Minister is being told by the army what to say. It confirms that General Munir now has full control over Shehbaz Sharif's cabinet. When Pakistani journalists noticed Shehbaz Sharif's absence during a critical time, they asked questions—questions that left both the army and the Deputy Prime Minister speechless. In today's DNA, Rahul Sinha, Managing Editor, of Zee News, analysed the possible coup plan by General Asim Munir in Pakistan: Watch Full DNA Episode Here जनरल मुनीर के 'मुशर्रफ मॉडल' का DNA टेस्ट जमीन-आसमान छोड़िए..'समंदर की जंग' देखिए सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक के 'जनक' से डरा PAK देखिए #DNA LIVE Rahul Sinha के साथ#ZeeLive #ZeeNews #DNAWithRahulSinha #Pakistan #IndiavsPakistan @RahulSinhaTV — Zee News (@ZeeNews) May 1, 2025 General Asim Munir's coup plan can be referred to as the Musharraf Model. He has given three major signals within the last 24 hours—let's understand them: First signal: Munir appointed his trusted ISI Chief as Pakistan's NSA. Second signal: Munir has taken command of Shehbaz Sharif's senior ministers. Third signal: Munir himself plotted the Pahalgam attack, for which evidence is now coming from within Pakistan. Let's now understand the meaning of each of these three signals. Just a day ago, a major announcement was made in Pakistan. The post of National Security Advisor, vacant since April 2022, was filled by appointing the ISI Chief. ISI Chief General Mohammad Asim Malik will now hold dual responsibilities. Just seven months ago, General Munir appointed his preferred general as the ISI Chief. Now, the same officer has been made the NSA—the person who will advise the Prime Minister on defense matters, who will guide Shehbaz Sharif on what decisions to take in which situations. Earlier too, Shehbaz Sharif couldn't take decisions without Munir's approval. But with the ISI Chief now also the NSA, Munir's control over the country has strengthened further. This is the first time in Pakistan that an ISI Chief has been appointed to two major posts, proving this decision was not Shehbaz Sharif's, but Munir's. By doing so, General Munir has tightened his grip around Shehbaz Sharif. Here are some facts about Pakistan's new NSA, General Mohammad Asim Malik, that help explain why Asim Munir placed the country's top spy next to Shehbaz Sharif. Just before becoming ISI Chief, General Mohammad Asim served as Adjutant General at Pakistan Army headquarters. It was during this period that Imran Khan—Munir's number one enemy—was arrested and remains in jail. General Munir and General Mohammad Asim will also retire at the same time. Earlier, Pakistan's new NSA commanded the infantry division in Balochistan and the infantry brigade in Waziristan. His father, Ghulam Mohammad, was a former Pakistani military officer who served in the wars against India in 1965 and 1971—both of which Pakistan lost. This means Pakistan's new NSA harbors a generational hatred against India. Leaders who wish to avoid war with India are seen as enemies by him. With this NSA appointment, all power centers in Pakistan have now come under Munir's control, and Shehbaz Sharif has weakened. General Munir has used terrorism as a weapon for the coup. After the Pahalgam attack, the whole world is calling General Munir a terrorist. You should listen to former Pentagon official Michael Rubin today, who compared General Munir to Osama bin Laden. Now understand how significant ISI's role could be in a potential coup in Pakistan. The ISI Chief enjoys full support from the military. ISI has deep involvement in internal security and foreign policy—it plays a central role in policies related to Afghanistan, India, and Kashmir. The ISI also controls the media and politics in Pakistan. During a coup, this power of the ISI will work in General Munir's favor. To understand the ISI's role in coups, one must look into the history of military takeovers in Pakistan.
