Delhi University Admissions 2025: DU launches CSAS portal for UG courses; counselling process explained
Delhi University Admissions 2025: The University of Delhi (DU) has launched the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for admission of applicants for its undergraduate courses for the 2025-26 academic year in its 79 colleges. Applicants can register at the CSAS portal to get admission to the University– This year, there are 71,624 UG seats (general and reserved) offered for DU under its UG admissions 2025 cycle. There will be two phases in the CSAS portal, and phase one has started today. Phase two will start after NTA announces CUET UG 2025 results. As of now, students are waiting for the provisional answer keys to be released. Here is an explained way of how the counselling for the DU UG Admissions 2025 will begin: – Fill out personal details, CUET-UG roll number, and Class 12 marks – Upload academic certificates – No programme preferences are recorded in this phase The DU UG registration fee is Rs 250 for General and OBC candidates, and Rs 100 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. Candidates should select their preferred programs before the deadline. Additional fees apply for ECA/Sports quota (Rs 100) and performance/practical-based programmes (Rs 400). 1. Subject Mapping: As the results for the CUET UG would be out, students will have the opportunity to map their UG test papers to Class 12 subjects and submit marks 2. Programme-specific eligibility: Check eligibility for DU programmes based on CUET scores and subject mapping 3. Preference Selection: Select and prioritise programme college combinations using filters and navigation tools designed by the DU CSAS portal 4. Final Submission: Save and lock preferences before the deadline. The options will be auto-locked if no action is taken by students within the deadline. The order of preferences matters for seat allocation. After submission, no changes will be allowed after the deadline. Once these two phases are completed, candidates will be allotted seats under phase three of the DU CSAS portal. Seat offers will be made in multiple rounds, giving students the option to accept, reject, or upgrade their allocation based on seat availability. Additionally, this year, students will have to mention their Class 10th scores also in the DU CSAS portal, which will later be used in the tie-breaking policies. In order to help students, the University has decided to send important alerts, such as allocation, deadlines, and payments to candidates via their registered email IDs. The admission process will also be streamlined to be completed in the shortest possible time. For UG admissions 2025, DU has removed five subjects from the domain-specific list, including Engineering Graphics and Entrepreneurship. Students must appear for CUET in subjects they studied in Class 12 or similar subjects if not listed.
