A 35-year-old man who was charged with sexual assault last month is facing new voyeurism charges after Winnipeg police found intimate images of a woman on his electronic device that were taken without her consent.
The domestic violence unit began investigating a reported assault in June. In July, police charged a 35-year-old man with sexual assault, assault and assault by choking, police said in a news release on Wednesday.
Police said the man was detained in custody at the time.
As the investigation continued, police found intimate images of the assault survivor on the man's device, which were taken without her consent, the news release said.
He was re-arrested and charged with voyeurism this month, police said.
