Dana White on how challenge of Sphere UFC event compares to the White House

LAS VEGAS – Dana White admits there are already obstacles to making the UFC White House event a reality. U.S. president Donald Trump proposed hosting a UFC event on the grounds of the White House on July 4, 2026, and UFC CEO White plans on flying out to Washington at the end of the month to figure out logistics. White is no stranger to organizing big events after putting together UFC 306 this past September at the Sphere in Las Vegas, labeling it as a love letter to Mexico. White was asked to explain the differences between the challenges of the Sphere vs. the White House. "This is a different challenge," White told MMA Junkie and other reporters Tuesday after DWCS 77. "I want to do it on the south lawn, and they have some weight issues. The octagon is 25,000 lbs so, it's going to be incredibly challenging. And then the weather, which I hate and said I would never do again after Abu Dhabi. I don't give a sh*t if it snows, we're going to be out on that south lawn." Noche UFC won two Sports Emmys for Outstanding Graphic Design – Specialty and Outstanding Studio or Production Design/Art Direction.

Dana White: UFC performance bonuses increasing after Paramount deal

LAS VEGAS – UFC performance bonuses are going up. While the full picture of how much fighters will or will not benefit from the UFC's $7.7 billion Paramount broadcast deal remains unclear, Dana White was quick to confirm one thing Tuesday when asked. "I'm not going to have any comments on that yet because we still have to get together and figure this stuff out," White told MMA Junkie and other reporters Tuesday after DWCS 77. "It's August. We have until January to figure all that stuff out. But the low-hanging fruit that's easy to answer? Bonuses are obviously going up. That'll be big. Forget about the tide rising with all the other fighters. Just the number that the bonuses bring to a fighter is millions of dollars." White did not specify how much the new bonuses will be. The Paramount deal goes in effect starting with the first event in January 2026. Since 2013, the four performance bonuses handed out after each UFC event have steadily been $50,000 apiece with very few exceptions. Pay-per-view points Historically, champions have taken a percentage of the pay-per-view buy rate. One of the biggest unknowns (at least publicly) surrounding the promoted extinction of pay-per-view events in the Paramount era is that of what will happen to pay-per-view points for its biggest stars. "It's not massive restructuring," White said. "We've got a bunch of smart kids over there that work in the accounting department that figure out how to make all this stuff work. It's so good for the fighters. What I loved about being with one company that made such a big investment in us is they're all-in with us. "So the fighters are going to get tons of promotion, built by all these different, unbelievable networks that these guys own. These are aggressive smart guys that are going to build a big media company."

DWCS 77 video: Baysangur Susurkaev 'saves' Dana White's Tuesday with gnarly TKO

"You saved my Tuesday." That's what Dana White told Baysangur Susurkaev after a devastating body kick knockout Tuesday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Susurkaev (9-0) teeped Murtaza Talha (7-2) in the midsection for the TKO stoppage at 3:04 of Round 1. The middleweight bout took place at Dana White's Contender Series 77, the show's season premiere. Susurkaev, 24, is a training partner of Khamzat Chimaev but he also trains at Kill Cliff FC with the likes of training partner Gregory Rodrigues and others. He stepped in on days' notice for this fight and capitalized on it violently. The finish couldn't come at a time where the UFC brass thirsted that violence more. The previous two fights to kick off the season were lackluster decisions. Susurkaev will likely earn a UFC contract as a result of his performance. Up-to-the-minute DWCS 77 results include:
