Thane, Navi Mumbai Traffic Police Announce Alternate Routes For Dahi Handi Celebrations

Dahi Handi Celebrations: Navi Mumbai traffic police have also issued a traffic advisory and a no-parking order in Kharghar from August 15 to 17 due to Krishna Janmashtami.
Dahi Handi 2025: Maharashtra is set to witness grand Dahi Handi celebrations across the state. In view of the event, the Thane Police have issued traffic diversions in the Kapurbawdi subdivision for today, August 16. The diversions will be in place from 11 p.m. on August 16. Commuters are advised to check the traffic advisory before planning their journey to avoid any inconvenience.
Traffic will be affected on several roads in view of the Dahi Handi celebrations. Entry will be prohibited on key roads, including parts of Kolset Road, Ram Maruti Road, Pipeline Road, and routes leading from Balkum Naka, Dadlani Chowk, and Yashaswinagar. Alternative routes will be clearly marked for commuters.
According to the authorities, the Dahi Handi event is set to witness 40,000–50,000 devotees along with the prominent political party leaders.

Meanwhile, Navi Mumbai traffic police have also issued a traffic advisory and a no-parking order in Kharghar from August 15 to 17 due to Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at the ISKCON Temple in Sector 23.
Motorists approaching from Hiranandani Signal are advised to use alternative routes via Utsav Chowk, Gram Vikas Bhavan Chowk, and Green Heritage Circle to reach Central Park Service Road.
