1 2 Hyderabad: Japanese life insurance player Dai-ichi Life Group signed a multi-year agreement with French IT services major Capgemini to set up its first global capability centre (GCC) outside Japan in Hyderabad. This move is part of efforts to accelerate its digital transformation globally. The GCC, set up on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) model, opened today at Capgemini's facilities in Hyderabad. The new GCC will strengthen Dai-ichi's in-house capabilities and technology platforms by driving innovation and operational efficiency on a global scale, the two companies said. "This strategic partnership supports our long-term ambition to build differentiated, internal capabilities through the establishment of our GCC. By adopting a BOT model, we are not only accelerating our digital transformation but also laying the foundation for in-house expertise in critical areas such as AI, data, and cybersecurity," Tetsuya Kikuta, president and CEO, Dai-ichi Life Holdings said.
