Vantage Data Centers Unveils Plans for "Frontier," a $25B Mega-campus in Texas to Meet Unprecedented AI Demand

Campus boasts 1.4 gigawatts of capacity in the Lone Star state, a strategic, global AI hub DENVER, August 19, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vantage Data Centers, a leading global provider of hyperscale data centers, today announced its largest investment to date of over $25 billion to develop a mega-scale 1.4GW data center campus in Shackelford County, Texas. The state-of-the-art campus, "Frontier," will lead to advancements in AI and employ more than 5,000 individuals across construction and ongoing operations. Situated on 1,200 acres, Vantage's Frontier campus is the largest across its global portfolio. The campus will be home to 10 data centers totaling 3.7 million square feet and can accommodate ultra high-density racks of 250kW+. To meet the unique and evolving needs of AI deployments, Frontier will utilize liquid cooling to support next generation GPU loads. Construction on the campus has already begun, with the first building scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2026. Frontier will align with Vantage's "sustainable by design" blueprint. The campus is optimized to preserve resources in the community and will use a highly efficient closed-loop chiller system which requires minimal water for cooling, saving billions of gallons of water annually. In addition, Vantage is pursuing LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for the campus. "Texas has become a critical and strategic market for AI providers. In particular, the launch of our Frontier campus with 1.4GW of GPU compute capacity marks a watershed moment for Vantage as we deliver on our promise to meet the unprecedented requirements of our customers," said Dana Adams, president of North America, at Vantage Data Centers. "This investment in Texas will be a significant economic growth driver for the area as we rapidly deploy the digital infrastructure needed to support AI applications. We look forward to being part of such a welcoming and proud community." "Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes innovation and technology," said Governor Greg Abbott. "Vantage Data Centers' $25 billion investment to build a new data center campus will help create thousands of good-paying jobs for Texans and bring revenue to the local and state economies. Partnering with job-creating and innovative businesses like Vantage, Texas will continue to be a national and global leader in this emerging frontier." "'Frontier' is an apt name for the Vantage Data Centers' campus and a palpable recognition of the history and mindset still present in our region and particularly Shackelford County," said John Viertel, county judge for Shackelford County. "We look forward to the many years of working with Vantage as they become involved with local initiatives, providing educational and job opportunities for our children and ourselves, contributing significantly to the financial upkeep and betterment of our local communities, all while providing a valuable service and product in the digital brave new world." As part of its commitment to community partnerships and cross-sector collaboration, Vantage will work closely with general contractors, trade partners, local community organizations and educational institutions to create shared value across the state. Vantage is committed to making financial contributions to local charities, has pledged college scholarships annually for Shackelford County students throughout the lifespan of the project and plans to hire locally while providing numerous training opportunities. Vantage Data Centers Invests $3 Billion to Deliver AI Campus in Growing Nevada Market

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vantage Data Centers, a leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, today announced its entry into the Nevada market with a 224MW campus (NV1) in Storey County just outside of Reno. Nearly $3 billion will be invested in the project, with more than 1,200 individuals employed across the construction and ongoing operations of the campus. Entry into Vantage's eighth North American market signals the company's pursuit of strategic opportunities outside of Tier I locations as it joins major technology juggernauts Google, Apple and Microsoft in the growing region. Sited on nearly 137 acres, the campus will include four multi-story data centers totaling more than one million square feet. The first two buildings are fully leased with the first building scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2026. Designed to meet the unique needs of AI deployments, NV1 will support densities ranging from 360W to more than 720W per square foot. The campus will have the flexibility to support both traditional air-cooled compute loads as well as next generation GPU loads using liquid cooling. It will feature N+1 electrical redundancy and N+2 mechanical redundancy for enhanced reliability. NV1 will be built in alignment with Vantage's 'sustainable by design' blueprint and will achieve an industry-leading low water usage effectiveness (WUE) due to a closed-loop chiller system that minimizes the need for large volumes of water for cooling. The campus is expected to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. 'As the global race for AI dominance continues, Vantage is leading the delivery of digital infrastructure to support the innovation and applications of the world's largest technology enterprises,' said Dana Adams, president, North America at Vantage Data Centers. 'The scale and pace at which our customers need business-critical capacity is at an all-time high. Nevada provided us a strategic opportunity to accelerate time-to-market for these customers while supporting the local economy through the creation of long-term jobs and tax revenue. The warm welcome we've received from the state is overwhelming, and we look forward to advancing the region's growing digital hub together.' 'We're proud to welcome Vantage Data Centers to the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center and Storey County,' said Austin Osborne, Storey County manager. 'Their arrival marks another important milestone in the growth of our region's digital infrastructure, bringing both significant economic development and high-quality jobs to our community. This project further solidifies Storey County's role as a key hub for forward-thinking industries, and we look forward to the long-term opportunities and partnerships it will create.' Committed to being a good neighbor, Vantage has established a partnership with the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) to support workforce development and community engagement initiatives in the area. Jalen Carter celebrates with Eagles fans on New Orleans riverboat ahead of Super Bowl LIX

Super Bowl Sunday has finally arrived, and Eagles fans everywhere can't wait for the big game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Tens of thousands of people will pack the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans for the big matchup, but even before the game, local fans traveling with the Green Legion have been busy celebrating all across the Big Easy. Instead of hotels, they're staying on the Mississippi in riverboats near the Crescent City Connection. "It's beautiful," said Dana Adams from Bucks County. "We're waterside. The bridge at night, it's just great." On Friday, Kelly Green filled the top of the boat as they welcomed Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter to the celebration. "We worked our way down Bourbon Street drinking and came back and did this," Adams said. "Now, Carter is upstairs and I'm excited." Fans were relieved to see he was in good spirits after he was put on the injury list because of an illness. "We make our players feel like we're behind them and we're ready for a Super Bowl win," Laura Lee from Westchester said. The team upgraded Carter to full participation in Thursday's practice ahead of the Super Bowl, and now he's expected to play. "I'm just looking forward to going to the game and seeing the Eagles win," said York resident Danielle Bentzel. Many fans say they're also looking forward to being inside the Superdome, which can hold 76,000 people. President Donald Trump will be among those attending, making him the first-ever sitting president to go to a Super Bowl. Kick off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EST.
