A 17-year-old from Ballymun is set to represent Ireland at one of the world's biggest dance competitions. Sean Hyland stole the hearts of the audience at the Ambassador Theatre on Friday night as he won the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Final for 2025. The young man from North Dublin undoubtedly stole the show and will now travel to LA in October for a crack at the world title. There was much expectation on the shoulders of Keelan Reynolds, the 2024 champion, who rocked up to defend his crown in style. In his debut year in the competition, Hyland's mixed style of hip-hop and locking proved popular with the crowd, garnering him the top prize on the night. Hyland seized his moment, delivering a bold and brave display that brought the crowd to their feet to scoop the big prize. When asked what energy he plans to bring to LA, he added: 'This is exactly what Ireland needed, like that bit of exposure. Keelan did it last year. I'm gonna try to bring something different, not better, but different.'
