Police officer in Wisconsin injured in struggle with suspect who allegedly had stolen AR-15, other firearms
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) – A police officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a struggle during a search warrant where a suspect with multiple firearms resisted arrest. According to the Sun Prairie Police Department, officers and detectives were aided by the Dane County Tactical Response Team in the search warrant concerning a weapons violation investigation. Officers performed the search warrant within the 400 block of South Bird Street on Friday morning. The officer was injured due to resistance reportedly displayed by Watson. Officers seized multiple firearms and several rounds of ammunition, including a stolen AR-15. One killed in Fond du Lac County after head-on collision, another seriously injured with three vehicles involved
OAKFIELD, Wis. (WFRV) – An 81-year-old woman from south central Wisconsin was killed during a head-on collision in Fond du Lac County on Tuesday afternoon. According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, multiple 911 calls reported the crash on U.S. Highway 151 near Thill Road in Oakfield, with deputies and State Patrol Troopers responding. Preliminary investigations indicate that the woman was heading southbound when she may have suffered a medical emergency, crossing over the grass median into the northern lanes and hitting the Waupun man's vehicle. Body recovered from Wisconsin's Lake Monona during week-long search for missing boater
DANE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Late Friday night, authorities say a body was recovered from Wisconsin's Lake Monona while search efforts were ongoing for a boater who went missing a week prior. Deputies with the Dane County Sheriff's Office say that around 9:45 p.m. on May 23, search teams recovered a male body while on Lake Monona. The release states that detectives 'will continue their investigation' and the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office will be performing additional testing to confirm the identity of the man. Three people dead after two-vehicle Marinette County crash, missed stop sign Saturday's release did not specifically note anything about the boater who went missing when a group's sailboat capsized on Friday, May 16. However, search efforts have been ongoing on Lake Monona for the missing man since last week.
