The El Paso Police Department on Wednesday evening located a pregnant woman after a "missing person" bulletin had earlier been issued because she had been gone for more than 24 hours. More: 'I will always be looking:' El Paso teens featured on missing children billboards Jazmin Martina Munoz, 21, was last seen about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, in the 10400 block of Sigma Street near the Veteran's Park area of Northeast El Paso, stated a news bulletin issued by police spokesperson Detective Judy Oviedo. The missing person bulletin was issued on Wednesday afternoon, July 9. She was located later that evening, police said without disclosing further details. Munoz, who is seven weeks pregnant, was driving a white 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan with Texas plates VLC9930, police reported. She was wearing a red shirt and black pants. Anyone with information on Munoz's whereabouts may call the police nonemergency number at 915-832-4400 or 911. El Paso Fire Department Water Rescue Team continues to help in Texas floods

The El Paso Fire Department Water Rescue Team continues helping search for persons missing after the devastating flooding that has killed more than 100 people in central Texas, officials said. The specially-trained members of the EPFD Water Rescue Team have been deployed since Friday, July 4. The team is currently working in Burnet County with agencies from across Texas searching for persons missing after the flash floods, the city of El Paso said in a news release on Monday, July 7. Burnet County is located northwest of Austin. More: Here's how to help those affected by the devastating Texas floods "Our personnel are not assigned to fixed shifts, which means they remain mission-ready around the clock," EPFD Water Rescue Coordinator and Battalion Chief Kris Menendez said in a statement. "The team's commitment, resilience, and hope are unwavering — we're here to help our fellow Texans, no matter the challenge." The El Paso team, as part of Texas Task Force 1, has assisted in rescue efforts in areas of Marble Falls and Burnet, the city said. The El Paso team, which is based in Llano, is currently set for a operations in central Texas through July 15, but additional water rescue personnel can be mobilized if needed, the city stated. EPFD Water Rescue Team members helped in swift-water rescues of two people clinging to trees after their vehicles were swept away by floodwaters in Marble Falls, city officials said. The team also assisted in emergency evacuations of victims from a flooded RV park. Teams members helped about 35 to 40 people and pets get to safety, the city of El Paso stated. Some residents were rescued off the rooftops of RVs by a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter. The EPFD Water Rescue Team trains year-round and is regularly utilized in water rescues and body recoveries in the fast-moving canals next to the border alongside Rio Grande. "Jugging" thefts continue targeting customers who withdrew cash from banks or ATMs as El Paso police seek the public's help to identifying the occupants of an SUV in a recent case. A bank customer's money was stolen in a vehicle burglary at an Upper Valley convenience store on April 24 after the customer visited an ATM at a Wells Fargo bank on the West Side, Crime Stoppers of El Paso police liaison Sgt. Javier Sambrano said in the Crime of the Week. Crime: El Paso police arrest Nissan sports car driver suspected of running from cops "Jugging" is a type of crime were thieves lurk near a bank or ATM watching to see if a customer withdraws money. The customer is followed to another location, where the thieves rob the victim or burglarize their parked vehicle hoping the money was left behind. At 11:58 a.m. on April 24, a customer withdrew money from an ATM at the Wells Fargo branch at 6950 N. Mesa St. next to Resler Drive, Crime Stoppers said. Investigators determined that the customer was followed from the bank by a black SUV — possibly a newer model Ford Explorer — for about two miles to a Speedway gas station at 4990 Doniphan Drive next to North Mesa Street, Crime Stoppers said. Outside the convenience store, the SUV parked next to the customer's truck. While the customer was inside the store, a person exited a drive-side back door of the SUV, broke a window to the truck and grabbed the cash, which been left behind, Crime Stoppers reported. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Watch for suspicious persons. Carry cash discretely. Never leave money, or anything of value, inside a parked vehicle. Vary route after departing bank. If being followed, call 911. "Jugging" thefts have occurred sporadically in El Paso for over a decade, sometimes involving theft crews from Houston. Recent cases have popped up since at least October.
