More info Seven people were injured in a three vehicle crash on the A541 in Bodfari, Denbighshire, last night (Wednesday). Three were airlifted to major trauma centres by air ambulances, with another four taken to hospital. Emergency services were at the scene, with reports of at least three air ambulances. Two people have also been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injuries by dangerous driving as police appeal for witnesses. North Wales Fire and Rescue Service also had two engines and two officers at the scene. Fire crews extinguished one of the vehicles, which was on fire and assisted with casualty care. A North Wales Police statement said: "Road traffic collision A541 at Bodfari, Denbighshire. On Wednesday the 23rd of April at around 19:40, police received numerous reports of a three vehicle RTC near to the Downing Arms Inn, on the A541 at Bodfari in Denbighshire. "Three casualties were airlifted to major trauma centres and four others were taken by land to local hospitals. The casualties' conditions range from being life threatening to life changing and the families of all of those involved are aware. "Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injuries by dangerous driving and our investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision is underway." Sergeant Daniel Rees from the Roads Crime Unit, said: 'I am appealing for witnesses to the collision, who have not provided their details to police, to come forward and also to anyone who may have seen, or have CCTV or dashcam footage of, a silver BMW 118 and a Silver Mercedes A200 travelling together in the area of Denbigh and Bodfari at around this time to contact police. "I would also like to ask that people refrain from commenting on social media posts regarding this incident so as not to prejudice the criminal investigation and instead please contact us directly to pass any information.' Two arrested after three-vehicle crash in Denbighshire leaves seven in hospital
Two people have been arrested following a crash that left seven seriously injured and in need of hospital treatment. The collision happened on Wednesday 23 April at around 19:40. Three vehicles were involved in the incident on the A541 at Bodfari in Denbighshire, near to The Downing Arms Inn. Three people were airlifted away from the scene for medical care while another four were taken to hospital by land for treatment. Police confirmed that some of the individuals have suffered from "life-threatening" and "life-changing" injuries. Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injuries by dangerous driving.
