LEGO BATMAN: LEGACY OF THE DARK KNIGHT Trailer Celebrates Batman's Movie History

It's been seven years since there's been a proper LEGO Batman game. But in 2026, the LEGO version of the Dark Knight is answering the call to action once more. Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC Comics, and LEGO have announced the brand new LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight game. Previous LEGO Batman games focused heavily on the comics iteration of the Caped Crusader. However, this newest game is mostly inspired by the many cinematic versions of Batman over the years. You can watch the first LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight reveal trailer right here: Not only do you hear Danny Elfman's iconic Batman 1989 theme, but there are several other callbacks to the movies in this trailer. We see Bruce Wayne's origin and fighting the League of Shadows, just as in Batman Begins. There are also moments from The Dark Knight, plus some poking fun at Tom Hardy's Bane voice from The Dark Knight Rises. A sexy moment between Batman and Catwoman from Batman Returns also gets a nod. Ben Affleck's warehouse fight from Batman v Superman makes an appearance here too. Even the Batmobile chase scene with the Penguin from The Batman made the cut. We didn't spot anything from the Joel Schumacher Bat-films, but we're sure they'll get a reference. In a statement, DC Comics president Jim Lee said the following: 'Whether he's the wrathful Dark Knight, the brilliant detective, or the unlikely father of the 'Batfam,' Batman has constantly evolved—shaped by the world around him while remaining a timeless symbol. This game brings together nearly every facet of his legacy, letting you experience the full range of what makes Batman iconic. Built with incredible care, creativity, and deep respect for the mythos ,TT Games has crafted a love letter to the world of Batman.' Players can utilize several different Batman gadgets, including his grapple launcher and Batglider. Not to mention a range of Batmobiles and Batcycles. One can also customize the Batcave to display vehicles, trophies, and collectibles. There is also an assortment of wearable Batsuits based on past Batman-related media. Speaking of Batman suits, players can unlock the 1939 Batsuit inspired by Batman's first appearance in Detective Comics #27, by signing up for a WB Games account. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will also feature a co-op mode. This allows players to team up with one of Batman's allies, like Robin or James Gordon. Maybe this is how we get the Chris O'Donnell version of the Boy Wonder in the game? LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will release in 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Foo Fighters hire new drummer after band member's shock firing and death of Taylor Hawkins

A new drummer has reportedly joined the Foo Fighters. Accomplished drummer Ilan Rubin is the now a member of the legendary rock band, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Both the group and Ilan have yet to officially confirm the news, and it's unknown whether or not the musician has joined on as a full-time drummer or will simply be touring with them. The news comes over two months after drummer Josh Freese announced he had been abruptly sacked from the band after two years in an Instagram post - after being tipped to permanently replace the late Taylor Hawkins in the iconic rock band. has contacted Ilan and representatives for the Foo Fighters for comment. Ilan boasts an impressive resume that includes serving as the drummer for Angels & Airwaves and working with film composer and singer/songwriter Danny Elfman, according to THR. Since 2009, he has been working as a touring drummer for Nine Inch Nails, and his work with the band earned him a spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside the legendary band. The career achievement, which occurred in 2020, made the then 32-year-old the youngest person to be inducted into the hall. A source told the site that Ilan told Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor last week that he had 'accepted a job with another band'. He had originally committed to the band for the rest of the year. THR reports that a representative for Foo Fighters declined to provide comment. The news comes just months after Freese revealed he had been let go from the band. Freese, who joined the group in 2023, wrote: 'The Foo Fighters called me Monday night to let me know they've decided 'to go in a different direction with their drummer.' No reason was given. 'Regardless, I enjoyed the past two years with them, both on and off stage, and I support whatever they feel is best for the band. 'In my 40 years of drumming professionally, I've never been let go from a band, so while I'm not angry—just a bit shocked and disappointed. 'But as most of you know I've always worked freelance and bounced between bands so, I'm fine. Stay tuned for my 'Top 10 possible reasons Josh got booted from the Foo Fighters' list.' Interestingly, Freese has since joined Nine Inch Nails, the band Ilan has long played for, a rep confirmed to THR. Freese, 52, officially joined the band in May 2023 after the shock death of longtime drummer Hawkins at 50 in 2022. Hawkins passed away at the age of 50 while the group was on tour in Bogota, Colombia, in March 2022. The performer joined the band in 1997, three years after it was initially founded by Grohl, 56. The late musician constantly remained with the group after then and was the recipient of fifteen Grammy Awards. However, Hawkins began experiencing chest pains while staying at the Four Seasons Casa Medina hotel and subsequently passed away on the evening of March 22. An autopsy later revealed that the drummer had ten different substances in his system at the time of his death. It was also announced that the performer's heart was twice the size of a normal one. A pair of star-studded tribute concerts took place at Wembley Stadium in London and at the Kia Forum in Inglewood. Both Freese and Hawkins' son, Oliver Shane, now 18, were on drums during the first performance. Grohl threw the band into further turmoil in September 2024 when he revealed he had fathered a child outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum, with whom he shares three daughters. Jennifer Young, 38, was confirmed to be the mother of the daughter he fathered out of wedlock Jennifer confirmed that her baby was born on August 1, 2024, and she said Dave's last name is listed on the birth certificate. She lives with her mother in Los Angeles, and often takes their daughter for walks in their neighborhood. A source told People magazine in November 2024 that the rocker is focused on working things out with her and their daughters, and that divorce is off the table. The source said: 'He's no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife.' Another insider said that he 'loves his family,' noting that he has 'been prioritizing his family. He knows he messed up. It's one of those situations where you don't realize what you have done until you're about to lose it. He doesn't want to lose his family.' Multiple sources have claimed that Jordyn has known about the baby 'for a while,' and said she is a 'great mom and very dedicated to their daughters.' Jordyn and Dave share daughters Violet, 19, Harper, 16, and Ophelia, 10. Dave and Jordyn were seen together in February for the first time since his shocking cheating and baby news. They were seen in the car together, after Jordyn picked him up from an LA area home. Neither appeared to be wearing wedding rings at the time. Last month, Dave and Jordan were pictured with their family for the first time since the affair was revealed and earlier this month the couple were also seen at Wimbledon together. A source told US Weekly in March the couple are giving their 22 year marriage another go. They said: 'Jordyn has forgiven Dave and is trying to move on. She is [still] completely devastated by the situation but is standing by his side. 'They are going to counseling, and Dave has been doing anything he can to win back Jordyn's trust. Neither of them wants the family broken.'
