What to know about each Indiana basketball player from Game 2 comeback in Puerto Rico
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Indiana basketball overcame an ugly start to turn in a dominant win Saturday, 93-71, over Serbian side Mega Superbet. Here's how individual Hoosiers fared as Darian DeVries' team came back from 23 points down. (Players listed numerically) Jasai Miles: Looked more patient and found his offense through that patience. Provided some really important minutes and possessions defensively, especially as Indiana tried to solve Mega's size advantage. A good game from the bench. Indiana basketball in Puerto Rico: IU vs Mega Superbet live score updates, stats on Aug. 9 Reed Bailey: Flashed the polished outside-in game that made him so difficult to handle at Davidson. Will be interesting to see how his role evolves with more shooters and scorers around him, but he had a stretch in the first half that turned into a personal 6-0 run. It flashed his mismatch potential and helped ignite what eventually became a mammoth-sized comeback for Indiana. Lamar Wilkerson: Once the shots start falling, there's an ease to Wilkerson's offense few other Hoosiers have. He goes through shooting motions — the catch, the steps, the rhythm — so smoothly. Made a few crucial 3s in the comeback, and looked exceptionally comfortable in the second half. Sam Alexis: Energy and effort set a tone in the second quarter IU badly needed. Carried it forward as the comeback developed and got the crowd going with some rim-shaking dunks in the fourth quarter. The dynamic between him and Bailey will be fun to watch. Conor Enright: Fouled out in the third quarter, but not before his energy (and a technical foul to boot) helped spark Indiana's comeback to life. A clearly important voice and character on this team, which is unsurprising. Tayton Conerway: No one was more a victim of Indiana's problems trying to figure out how the game would be refereed in the first 10-12 minutes. Struggled with fouls as well, but came back to provide some important possessions on both sides of halftime. Nick Dorn: Traveled with the team but did not play. Darian DeVries has suggested it will be autumn before Dorn returns to action because of injury. Josh Harris: Not the game for him until late but made the most of some fourth-quarter minutes at both ends of the floor. Trent Sisley: Scored less but still impacted the game. His energy, toughness and versatility are all probably ahead of his years. It continues to be tangible how comfortable he looks on a floor full of more experienced players. Tucker DeVries: Had big plays at both ends of the floor during the second- and third-quarter combined comeback. Made crucial 3s, had a couple important blocks, matched up Mega's bigs and outworked them. A captain's performance. Aleksa Ristic: Had to take on some important minutes because of foul trouble elsewhere. Never looked phased by it. Hit a big 3. Flashed impressive passing vision, albeit sometimes guilty of trying too hard to make what wasn't there. But even against a tougher level of competition, he still looks like a promising player for Indiana. Note: Jason Drake (injury) and Andrej Acimovic (visa) will not be with Indiana during this week's trip.

Kentucky revival, major neutral-site clashes highlight Indiana basketball nonconference schedule
BLOOMINGTON — The first nonconference schedule of Darian DeVries' tenure as Indiana basketball coach will be highlighted by renewed series with Midwest powers across three different leagues, including one of Indiana's oldest and fiercest rivals. The Hoosiers will open the season with a Nov. 5 visit from Alabama A&M, as a warmup for their neutral-site meeting four days later with Marquette at the United Center in Chicago. A run of five straight home games will follow — highlighted by a visit from Big 12 foe Kansas State — before IU travels to Indianapolis and Gainbridge Fieldhouse for a Dec. 6 meeting with Louisville, which finished second last year in the ACC. This will mark the third straight year the Hoosiers and Cardinals meet in the regular season. One week later marks the resumption of the IU-Kentucky rivalry as an annual nonconference game for the first time in 14 years. The Hoosiers and Wildcats have met just twice in the intervening period, both times in the NCAA tournament (2012, 2016). IU's Dec. 13 game in Lexington will be the Hoosiers' first visit to Rupp Arena since 2010. Those games against Kentucky and Louisville are likely to coincide with at least some portion of the pre-new year two-game start to Big Ten play. DeVries' team will wrap up its nonconference schedule with a pair of home games before Christmas, Chicago State on Dec. 20 and Siena on Dec. 22, before a brief holiday break precedes the resumption of conference play. The full nonconference schedule, with last year's final records and KenPom rankings in parentheses, is as follows: Nov. 5, Alabama A&M (10-22, KenPom No. 360) Nov. 9, Marquette* (23-11, KenPom No. 29) Nov. 12, Milwaukee (21-11, KenPom No. 141) Nov. 16, Incarnate Word (19-17, KenPom No. 224) Nov. 20, Lindenwood (16-17, KenPom No. 327) Nov. 25, Kansas State (16-17, KenPom No. 65) Nov. 29, Bethune-Cookman (17-16, KenPom No. 286) Dec. 6, Louisville^ (27-8, KenPom No. 28) Dec. 13, at Kentucky (24-12, KenPom No. 16) Dec. 20, Chicago State (4-28, KenPom No. 362) Dec. 22, Siena (14-18, KenPom No. 253) *game held at United Center in Chicago ^game held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis

Big 12 foe Darian DeVries is familiar with becomes another Indiana basketball opponent
BLOOMINGTON — Indiana baksetball will add a home game against Kansas State to its nonconference schedule ahead of the 2025-26 season, IndyStar understands. The Wildcats will visit Bloomington at a date to be announced in a one-off arrangement similar to the Hoosiers' visit from South Carolina last season. A return game is not expected as part of the arrangement. Kansas State joins Marquette (Chicago), Louisville (Indianapolis) and Kentucky (in Lexington) among high-major opponents expected to highlight IU's schedule in Darian DeVries' first season as coach. The Wildcats finished under .500 last season, Jerome Tang's third as coach in Manhattan. They started 6-2 before losing nine of 10. After a six-game win streak, they slumped to a 3-6 finish to a season that concluded in the Big 12 tournament. That season included beating DeVries' West Virginia team, 73-60, in Manhattan. At this point, Indiana is not expected to add more heft to its nonconference schedule, with the remainder of its non-league games likely to be buy games at home. The Hoosiers are also likely to explore a high-profile exhibition similar to last year's visit to Tennessee. There is nothing firm yet on potential opponents, though it stands to reason IU might prefer to play that game at (or at least closer to) home, after traveling to Knoxville last season.

Indiana basketball strengthens schedule with neutral-site game against Louisville
BLOOMINGTON – IU officially announced Thursday a nonconference date with Louisville, strengthening its schedule ahead of Darian DeVries' first season. The Hoosiers will tip off against U of L at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 6, with the game to be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis. IndyStar understands the meeting will be a one-off, rather than part of a multi-year series. One of the most active and successful teams in the spring portal window, Louisville looks to build off a 27-win season in Pat Kelsey's first year in charge. The Cardinals finished tied for second in an admittedly weak ACC, before losing in the first round of the NCAA tournament to Creighton. This will be Indiana's 22nd game all time against Louisville, and its third in the last three years. Kelsey's team routed IU, 89-61, in an opening-round of last season's Battle 4 Atlantis. Louisville now occupies one of the coveted December Saturday slots typically reserved for high-level nonconference matchups in college basketball. IU will travel to Kentucky the following Saturday for the first game in a four-year series renewing that interstate rivalry, with tipoff time to be determined. The Hoosiers' game with Louisville adds flavor to what will already be a busy Saturday in Indianapolis — the Big Ten football championship game is scheduled for the same day at Lucas Oil Stadium. Our book on Bob Knight makes a great Father's Day gift! Thursday's announcement formally adds to what is now a sturdy nonconference schedule. The Hoosiers will play Marquette on Nov. 9 in Chicago, in addition to games against the Cardinals (Indianapolis) and Wildcats (Lexington). IU is also expected to pursue a nonconference home game against a high-major opponent, likely in another one-off setup similar to last year's visit from South Carolina. Kansas State is understood to be among the possibilities.
