Jasmine Roth Updates HGTV Fans on New Season: 'A Little Bit Nervous!'

Great news, HGTV fans! Jasmine Roth is back on set filming her popular series Help! I Wrecked My House, and she went live on Instagram to share an update. In case you missed it, Jasmine has experienced several major life updates since season 4. She sold her house in California, relocated her family and her business to Utah, and welcomed new baby Darla. Amid all of the changes, she's made appearances on Hometown Takeover and Rock the Block, but her own HGTV series has been understandably on hold. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jasmine Roth HGTV (@jasminerothofficial) She took to Instagram to take fans along as she headed to film the first "new house day" of her show. She pulled up to the home with a stain on her shirt, a bag full of breakfast burrito, and a big smile on her face. Jasmine told her followers, "It's new house day, which means it is the big reveal." She explained that her team has grown, "which is great, because it means i get to be home with my family." She toured the scene for new viewers, saying, "It's the day that we get to invite our clients back to their house and show them what's been done. We're here in Utah, you can see the mountains behind us." Jasmine admitted to being a bit nervous about the day, saying, that she was "Really excited, hoping this goes well, a little bit nervous. It's been a while. I had a baby, moved to a new state, got a whole new situation going here. Thank you guys for being here, thanks for your support." HGTV has not yet announced the premiere date of Help! I Wrecked My House, but we'll be on the lookout for any details. The ear pads are so light and soft, I hardly feel like I am wearing anything. The battery lasts hours, and they connect easily with Bluetooth. While I have used other headphone brands in the past, these have become my go-to favorites. Does a great job cleaning up leaves, etc. in my above-ground pool, saving me a lot time, so I spend more time enjoying my pool versus cleaning it." — Robin O. "This has been amazing for my pool routine! I have an 18-foot, round above-ground pool and have dropped this in three times so far, and the bottom junk and leaves are gone!" — Risa 20. A stainless steel automatic cat water fountain for 27% off (the lowest price it goes for) that'll entice your purring friends to stay hydrated by keeping the water in constant circulation. After their mom was killed in murder-suicide, 2 dogs find forever home in Mass.

After their owner was killed 'in a tragic domestic violence incident,' workers at a Rhode Island rescue were determined to find two resilient dogs a new home. 'They are truly such resilient and amazing dogs with the kindest eyes & goofiest personalities,' wrote Liv Phelps, a worker for Hotel for Homeless Dogs in Cumberland, Rhode Island. 'Spanky a gentle giant who welcomes you with wet slobbery kisses and big ol hugs. Darla with her ever so soft fur and beautiful face. What's not to love?' Their owner, Loren Marino, 24, of Haverhill, was found dead in a home along with her boyfriend in March 2024, WCVB reported. Authorities said it was a murder-suicide. Marino was born in Lowell and lived in East Providence, Rhode Island, before she moved back to Massachusetts to live in Haverhill in 2022. She worked as a mental healthcare professional at Anodyne Medical Services on assignment for Vinfen Corporation, 'where she was dedicated to her work,' her family wrote in her obituary. The dogs were traumatized after losing their owner, WCVB reported. And one of the dogs didn't easily trust men. The dogs were brought to the shelter in hopes of finding a new family. But a year later, they were still without a home. 'I can only imagine Loren and the worry she would have for these dogs,' Hotel for Homeless Dogs Executive Director Susan Joseph told the news outlet. 'It was really important for me to close this chapter for her, but we had to close it right.' On April 14, that changed. 'We did it! Darla and Spanky have found their forever home,' the rescue wrote on Facebook. 'After spending a week with their new mom and dad they just fell in love. Both Darla and Spanky molded perfectly into their lifestyle.' The Massachusetts couple, Mike Pollock and Karen Roy, said they will care for their two new dogs in Loren's memory. 'I hope she can rest easy because we will love them,' Roy told WCVB. If you are a victim of domestic or dating violence, you are not alone. Veteran anchor Darla Montgomery retiring after 33 years on air

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – After more than three decades of bringing Acadiana the news with warmth, integrity, and an unwavering dedication to storytelling, longtime anchor and reporter Darla Montgomery is retiring. A trusted presence in homes across South Louisiana since 1992, Darla has been more than a journalist—she has been a friend, a neighbor, and a voice for the people of this community. A native of Opelousas, Darla's career has been defined by a deep love for Acadiana and a commitment to sharing its stories. Her work has earned her multiple Associated Press awards, including recognition for a powerful half-hour documentary chronicling the life of an Acadiana priest and his mission in Haiti. Spending time in the impoverished country changed Darla's life, and her documentary went on to air both locally and statewide on Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB). She was also featured in an LPB documentary on South Louisiana's folk medicine and the tradition of traiteurs, or healers—an important piece of our culture that continues to be shared with audiences today. Darla's career has taken her across the world, from covering local and state elections to traveling with Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco to Canada in an effort to promote tourism. She has interviewed some of the nation's most well-known political figures, including former Vice President Al Gore and political strategist James Carville. She has covered presidential visits, explored the connections between Acadiana and Africa, and reported from places far beyond Louisiana's borders. But no matter how far she traveled or how high-profile the story, Darla's heart always remained in Acadiana. 'The most meaningful stories are the ones right here at home,' she says. 'The people of this community are what have made this job so special.' Darla attended the then, University of Southwestern Louisiana majoring in Mass Communications from 1980 to 1985. She has spent a lifetime dedicated to the art of storytelling. Beyond the newsroom, she finds joy in writing short stories and poetry, cooking Creole cuisine, and most of all, spending time with her family. Darla's presence on the airwaves will be deeply missed, but her impact on this community will last forever. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, integrity, and a true love for the people of Acadiana. A celebration to honor Darla's incredible career will be announced soon. Please join us in thanking her for her years of service, her dedication, and the heart she has shared with us all. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. HGTV star Jasmine Roth shares her 9 must-haves for making a house feel cozy

In the nine years that Jasmine Roth has been on HGTV, she's seen a lot of home renovations gone wrong. The name of her show, Help! I Wrecked My House, says it all: Jasmine flies in to save homeowners from sagging ceilings, leaking pipes and partially demolished walls. Then she redesigns their spaces so they're functional and beautiful. The designer and builder just launched a new lighting collection with Hunter, plus she's filming her show's fifth season. But these days, Jasmine has just one VIC (very important client) on her mind: her own family. Jasmine, her husband Brett, and their young daughters, Hazel and Darla, recently moved from California to Utah, and Jasmine is creating their dream home in Park City. Though she still has a lot of work to do — "I haven't even started Darla's nursery yet, and she's 5 months old!" Jasmine admits — she has stocked the house with fuzzy blankets, luxurious-smelling soaps and other cozy finds. "It's especially important in a place like this, where we get a crazy amount of snow," she says. Read on for her home essentials, and if you're curious how other star designers decorate their own spaces, check out gorgeous go-to goodies from Nate Berkus and Egypt Sherrod.
