Ireland's newest train station opens to passengers

Ireland's newest train station has opened to passengers. Woodbrook, located between Shankill in Co Dublin and Bray in Co Wicklow, is the first new station in 15 years. Advertisement Dart services began serving Woodbrook early on Sunday morning in advance of the official opening at 11.45am by Minister for Transport Darragh O'Brien and the cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Jim Gildea. The new station is about 250 metres north of the former Woodbrook halt, which served the area from 1910 to 1960.
