(NASDAQ:CFLT), a data streaming pioneer, has released findings from its fourth annual Data Streaming Report. The report surveyed 4,175 IT leaders across 12 countries, including the UAE. It revealed that data streaming platforms (DSPs) are no longer optional. They are now seen as critical to AI success and business transformation. In the EMEA region, 86% of IT leaders plan to increase their investment in DSPs in 2025. Rey Perez, Chief Customer Officer at Confluent, said DSPs are powering agentic AI and real-time fraud detection. He added that these platforms are key to addressing modern data challenges and enabling future innovations. The report also showed that organizations in EMEA are rapidly adopting AI capabilities. Over half (52%) of surveyed IT leaders have implemented chatbots, copilots, and AI assistants. Meanwhile, 34% have deployed AI-enhanced security tools, and 33% are using AI to improve IT operations. Fred Crehan, Area Vice President Growth Markets at Confluent, reported a major shift in the Middle East from AI trials to full-scale adoption. He stressed that without timely and trustworthy data, AI cannot deliver results. DSPs, he said, are closing that gap. Nearly 73% of EMEA respondents identified real-time, high-quality data as essential to AI success. Furthermore, 85% believe DSPs are becoming increasingly vital in feeding AI systems with contextual and trustworthy data. These platforms are proving their business value: 89% said data streaming improved product and service innovation 83% reported reduced business costs and risks 83% noted direct contributions to revenue growth Additionally, 80% reported faster time to market. Time to market is also improving, with 80% citing measurable acceleration. As a result, 86% of EMEA organisations say they will increase their investment in data streaming platforms in 2025, reflecting growing confidence in both the technology and the business outcomes it delivers. When asked to quantify return on investment, 42% of EMEA organisations report achieving 5x ROI or more, while 37% say they have already doubled their investment.
