In the latest episode of Fabulous' vodcast, Danni and co-host Alex Serruys discussed the issue. Speaking to Alex, Danni explained someone had been impersonating her on Telegram, forcing her to report the account. 'I had loads of messages from different people. I had one the other day. In fact, when I put a question out about people being catfished,' she explained. Advertisement 'And somebody said [to me] 'yes, by you.' 'So someone had been pretending to be me, and I don't know how they are monetising it, but they are, and it's not the first time. 'In the last six months, I've probably had about 30 or 40 messages, and I have to go onto Instagram and Facebook [and take a look]. 'I probably do it once every few weeks, but there will be about eight new profiles pretending to be me. Advertisement 'And I get guys sliding into my DMs being like, 'why are you ignoring me all of a sudden?' and I'm like, 'what?' 'And someone is literally using my profile and using pictures of me, pretending to be me, and full-on having conversations with people. "I don't really know what they are talking about.' Meaty hands are a good sign Alex responded: 'It's really sad that people who also find you attractive, you are their dream girl, think that you are actually giving them the time of day. Advertisement 'And you're not. I just think that is really sad. And it's horrible that someone is making money off that.' Danni went on to explain how people can tell whether they are really speaking to her or not. She said: 'It's sad, it's horrible that someone is making money off that, but also, if anyone is listening, I only message my friends. It is sad, but come on, it is a bit painful for them. But it's also a bit embarrassing for me Danni Menzies 'It's just like, really? Because you know, in the nicest possible way, the guys are always in the probably 50 to 70 age bracket, probably just definitely not what I would go for, to put it that way. Advertisement 'Come on, do you really think I am sitting at home on my computer all day hitting you up babe, no. 'It is sad, but come on, it is a bit painful for them. But it's also a bit embarrassing for me. 4 Danni and Alex now present their own vodcast with Fabulous Credit: Instagram 'I feel bad about it, but I also feel a bit grossed out about it because I'm like, what are you actually speaking about?' Advertisement Alex added: 'If they have got your face, and somebody is messaging 'you,' it's like, OK, can I have a video of you doing something to yourself? Someone could make that.' And this is what puts Danni in fear. 'That's the scary thing, because they can make the video from an image,' she explained. 'And that could literally be any image from your Instagram, and they can create a video of you sha**ing from that.' Advertisement Who is Danni and why did she leave A Place In The Sun? Danni presented on Channel 4's A Place In The Sun for nearly six years and left in 2022 to explore other opportunities closer to home. She explained that "travelling as much as I did, I found it hard to establish relationships". "Also, six years in the same job, travelling loads, it was such an amazing experience, went to lots of great places, met lots of great people," she added. "I was very much in my comfort zone and now I'm very much out of my comfort zone and it makes you feel a little bit more alive to be honest."
