Davenport Council allocates ARPA money for services, development projects
The Davenport City Council has passed a resolution to allocate money to organizations that serve the community. On Wednesday, council members approved money from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) for Humility Homes and Services, Vera French, Project NOW and the redevelopment of the west end of the city, as well as the Rockingham Corridor. They amended the resolution to enable each alderman and the mayor $10,000 to spend on community projects of their choice. The council also allocated $20,000 for Project NOW to operate its overnight shelter in Rock Island next winter. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
