Since the start of February traffic enforcement has been ramping up in our area.
The Davenport Police Department will resume the use of mobile Automated Traffic Enforcement cameras on Tuesday.
Davenport will be focusing on the following locations this week:
Tuesday – 5700 Northwest Blvd & 900 W Central Park Ave.Wednesday – 1900 Brady St. & 1100 Marquette St.Thursday – 5700 Division St. & 3100 Harrison St.Friday – 2800 Division St. & 5800 Eastern Ave.
In Bettendorf, Devils Glen Road and the Raleigh Avenue will receive extra attention.
Muscatine will be deploying an automated traffic enforcement mobile vehicle from Tuesday-Friday (February 18-21, 2025) on the 2100 block of Isett Avenue.
The Davenport City Council approved an ordinance aligning Davenport's Automated Traffic Enforcement program with a new Iowa state law in late January. The cameras returned to active use the first week of February, with locations and times provided.

DDOT adds four new red light cameras across DC

WASHINGTON () — Drivers traveling in the District can expect to see more red-light cameras as D.C. continues to expand its Automated Traffic Enforcement (ATE) program. The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced Tuesday that were added to 'High Injury Network' locations across the District. Officials said these locations are where data analysis has identified speeding and red light running as safety issues. Nearly one million tickets issued to drivers over six month period in DC The new cameras will be placed at the following locations: S Capitol St SW/B at MLK Jr Ave SE Southern Ave NE/B at Wheeler Rd SE Rhode Island Ave E/B at North Capitol St NW DDOT said drivers will have a 30-day educational phase after each red-light camera is deployed. During this period, drivers will receive warning citations. Once the 30-day warning period is over, drivers will be issued infractions with fines starting at $150 for running a red light. According to DDOT, D.C.'s ATE program was designed to create safer roadways. The goal is to eliminate all traffic-related deaths and severe injuries.
