Two men have been charged in connection with the death of a 26-year-old Winnipeg man earlier this month.
Darian Allen Gaige Sam, 27, and David Allen Kirton, 64, were arrested by Winnipeg police on Tuesday, one week after the death of Breydon Henry Cadieux-Kwaitkowski.
Sam has been charged with manslaughter and failure to comply with a release order, while Kirton was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Cadieux-Kwaitkowski, 26, was found suffering from 'severe trauma' on Aug. 5 in the 600 block of Boyd Avenue. He was taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police allege Sam and Cadieux-Kwaitkowski, who were known to each other, got involved in an altercation and Cadieux-Kwaitkowski was fatally injured. They allege Kirton helped Sam with his escape.
The pair were detained in custody, and none of the charges have been proven in court.
