Shreveport apartment conditions worsen and permanant water shut-off approaches
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Three Shreveport apartment complexes have had limited water service since February 17.
They only have water for a couple of hours in the morning and evening. Service will be cut off entirely on March 17.
Some residents have moved, and David Heads, a resident at Village Square, said, 'It is very ridiculous. I feel bad for me and for the other people who don't have the money to move.'
The complexes have limited water, no on-site management or maintenance, and no trash service. Residents said they feel abandoned. They also told us people are breaking into the units and stealing appliances.

Residents over at Southern Oaks told us it's much the same there, no management, no maintenance, no trash service, and now they say homeless people are breaking in empty units and living in them.
Some residents are filling bathtubs to have access to water throughout the day, which is causing additional issues for other residents, leaks.
One resident said an upstairs neighbor's bathroom leak caused his ceiling to fall and injure him. The man feels helpless and has no one to call to seek compensation for inconvenience or injury.
