Meet David Iacono, who plays Xavier in Jurassic World Rebirth: he rose to fame as Cam in The Summer I Turned Pretty before joining the film franchise with Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey
Actor David Iacono is better known as 'Cam Cameron' by his adoring legion of fans who were first introduced to the American heartthrob during season one of Amazon Prime's successful coming-of-age romance series , The Summer I Turned Pretty, in 2022. The show, adapted from author Jenny Han's eponymous novel trilogy, centres around a love triangle involving Isabel 'Belly' Conklin ( played by Lola Tung ) and two brothers. Iacono's character, Cam, is introduced early on in the series as a brief third love interest for Belly before they eventually strike up a friendship instead in season two. Born in 2002 and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he started modelling as a child, according to Vanity Fair. He recalls starring in a 2008 indie horror film as a six-year-old in an interview with Photobook in 2023 – it was his debut on-screen role. Later, as an 11-year-old, he was booked for a small role on Saturday Night Live for a sketch with Melissa McCarthy.
