Detectives probing a number of linked incidents in the west and east of Scotland have arrested four men in connection with alleged fire-raising at properties in Edinburgh and Lanarkshire. 4 Car allegedly firebombed at address in Pitcairn Grove, Edinburgh – thought to be the home of David McMillan 4 Arrests have been made in connection with a fire at Deuce Private Hire in Stepps. Officers executed warrants at addresses in Edinburgh, Whitburn and Bathgate this morning. The men, three aged 18 and one aged 31, have been arrested and charged in connection with alleged fire-raising at a house on Pitcairn Grove, Edinburgh - the home of gangland figure David McMillian - on Thursday, May 8. Flames could be seen rippling around the tyres of the white Range Rover parked in the driveway of the plush property in the city. One of the 18-year-olds, along with the 31-year-old man, have also been arrested and charged in connection with alleged fire-raising at a taxi business on Cumbernauld Road in Stepps on the same date. Deuce Private Hire in Muirhead was found alight in an early morning blitz. They are all expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, May 26. Also, in the past week a 21-year-old man was arrested in connection over two attempted murders at a property in Glasgow and an alleged fire-raising at a carpet factory in Bishopbriggs in April. The business unit linked to Daniel clan hood Craig 'Rob Roy' Gallagher went up in the early hours of the morning. The incidents are being treated as part of a series of linked incidents in the west and east of Scotland and a total of 41 people have now been arrested. Police Scotland have a dedicated team of officers from its Specialist Crime Division and local divisions across the country are continuing to work together to gather vital evidence and reassure the public with intelligence-led patrols. More info Police in Edinburgh are looking to trace 'four or five' men after the attempted murder of mob boss Mark Richardson's friend. At around 9.20pm on Thursday evening, the group of males got out of a grey Land Rover Discovery and attacked David McMillian at his home on Pitcairn Grove. The 54-year-old was rushed to hospital, with his condition currently unknown. Officers have confirmed the incident is linked to the ongoing 'gang wars' that began in Edinburgh and spread to Glasgow. Enquiries have established that the Land Rover Discovery travelled eastbound along the M8. Images from the street on Friday morning showed the home taped off by police. Forensics were spotted scouring through the garden of the home as officers in uniform stood guard. "We know the Land Rover Discovery drove along the M8 eastbound last night. It may have been driven at speed or erratically so I would appeal to any motorists with dash cams to check their footage as the images could be significant to our investigation. The violence began back in March after Dubai-based crime lord Mr Big, who was recently unmasked as Ross McGill, was ripped off in a cocaine deal by Mark Richardson's associates.
