Zoey Deutch, Jon Hamm, John Slattery Starring in R-Rated Hollywood Comedy From ‘Wet Hot American Summer' Director David Wain (EXCLUSIVE)

Jon Hamm, John Slattery and Zoey Deutch will star in a new R-rated comedy set against the backdrop of the entertainment industry. The film, which has the placeholder title of Untitled Celebrity Pass Movie, will be directed by David Wain, who is best known for his work behind the camera on 'Role Models' and 'Wet Hot American Summer.' Sabrina Impacciatore, Ben Wang, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Ken Marino round out the heavyweight ensemble. Described as an 'off-the-rails odyssey through modern day Hollywood,' the film was written by Wain and Marino. The pair previously collaborated on 'Wanderlust,' 'Childrens Hospital,' and 'The State,' as well as 'Role Models.' It shot on location in Los Angeles, and was a recipient of the California Film & Television Tax Credit program. Their relationship in crisis, Gail sets out on an epic journey through Hollywood to even the scales. The film is being produced by Anthony Bregman and Peter Cron for Likely Story, Crystine Zhang for Oval-5, and Wain, Marino, and Charles Zhong. Robert Herjavec, Chechen Dong, Tom Griffin, Amanda Chang, Adrian Politowski, Jamie Canniffe, Franny Baldwin, Hamm, Deutch and Slattery will executive produce. Wain's credits include 'A Futile and Stupid Gesture,' starring Will Forte, and 'Wanderlust,' starring Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd. He co-created TV shows such as 'The State,' 'Stella,' 'Childrens Hospital' and 'Medical Police' and served as executive producer and director of 'Mr. Throwback' and the 'Wet Hot American Summer' series. Deutch co-starred in Clint Eastwood's 'Juror #2' and 'The Threesome' which premiered at SXSW, and on which she also serves as executive producer. Deutch will next be seen in Richard Linklater's next film 'Nouvelle Vague,' which is set to premiere at Cannes. Slattery and Hamm appeared together on 'Mad Men.' In addition to that show, Slattery has co-starred in the Best Picture winning film 'Spotlight.' He was recently seen in 'Unfrosted' and released his directorial debut 'Maggie Moore(s),' starring Tina Fey and Hamm. Slattery will next be seen in the Blumhouse Television project 'The Rainmaker.' Hamm recently appeared on 'Fargo' and has starred in such films as 'Top Gun: Maverick,' 'Bridesmaids' and 'Tag.' Marino can be seen in Shondaland's 'The Residence' for Netflix and he is best known for his role on 'Party Down.' Gutierrez-Riley was recently seen in the 2024 films 'Smile 2' and 'Sweethearts.' Upcoming credits include the feature film, 'I Wish You All The Best.' Wang recently led the Disney+ series 'American Born Chinese' opposite Key Hey Quan and Michelle Yeo. He can next be seen as the star of this summer's 'Karate Kid: Legends,' as well as in upcoming features films 'The Long Walk' opposite Mark Hamill and Judy Greer and in 'Brian' opposite Edi Patterson and Randall Park. Impacciatore was part of the cast on the second season of 'The White Lotus' and appeared in 'G20.' She will next be seen in Greg Daniels' follow-up series to 'The Office,' and 'Hand of Dante,' featuring Gal Gadot, Jason Mamoa, and Gerard Butler. Wain is represented by WME and Entertainment 360. Teen in court charged with murdering boy, 12

A 14-year-old has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 12-year-old boy. Leo Ross was found with stab wounds to the stomach near Scribers Lane in Hall Green, Birmingham, on Tuesday. He died in hospital that evening. His family described him as "an amazing, kind and loving boy". The teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared earlier at Birmingham Magistrates' Court, which was sitting as a youth court. He was charged with murder and three unconnected counts of assault alleged to have taken place on 19, 20 and 21 January. The teenager also faces a further three charges of assault relating to alleged attacks on police officers on 26 November and on a woman on 22 October. He was remanded into custody and the case was adjourned for a hearing at the city's crown court on Tuesday. District Judge David Wain told the boy a mention hearing for two of the assault charges would be held at Birmingham Youth Court on Thursday. Leo, a pupil at Christ Church C of E Secondary Academy in Yardley Wood, was believed to have been making his way home from school when he was stabbed. Members of the public came to his aid and called emergency services but he died in hospital at about 19:30 GMT.
