Kent beat holders Gloucestershire in Blast thriller as Somerset see off Surrey
Crawley smashed four maximums in a rapid 37 from 17 balls while Daniel Bell-Drummond top-scored for hosts Kent with 60 in an imposing total of 208 for three in Canterbury. Both James Wharton and Will Sutherland hit 58 for Yorkshire, but three for 42 for Willey made sure his new team fought back to limit the hosts to 224 for nine. Derbyshire made 170 for six, but were indebted to 70 down the order from Martin Andersson after three for 37 from Logan van Been had them reeling on 51 for five. A mature innings from Pakistan captain Masood endured Leicestershire chased their target with minimal fuss with Pat Brown, who earned an England Lions recall last winter, smashed for 47 off his 2.4 overs.

Somerset shine in T20 Blast opener but holders slip
Last season's beaten finalists Somerset beat Surrey as they made an impressive start to their T20 Blast Roy hit a blistering 92, but Surrey were restricted to 146-9 at Taunton before the hosts completed a five-wicket Gloucestershire started their defence with a narrow four-run defeat to Kent Spitfires, while the returning James Vince stroked 62 as Hampshire Hawks thrashed Essex by 106 runs in the other South Group Haynes' unbeaten 89 eclipsed Sam Hain's 92 as Notts Outlaws chased down Bears' 226-5 with five balls to spare at Trent Budinger smashed a 17-ball 50 as Leicestershire Foxes defeated Derbyshire David Willey smashed 54 and took three wickets as Northamptonshire Steelbacks held off Yorkshire Vikings' brave chase in a runfest at to follow.

PSL to resume on Saturday after postponement
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will resume on Saturday 17 May after its postponement because of the hostilities between India and neighbouring tournament was suspended over safety concerns on 8 May, and plans to play the rest of the matches in the United Arab Emirates were then are eight games remaining, with the final to be played on 25 May - one week later than its originally scheduled date. All remaining matches will be played in Rawalpindi and also means that Pakistan's series against Bangladesh will likely be rearranged, as the first T20 was scheduled for the day of the new final. The league's overseas players had all left Pakistan once the suspension was confirmed, and it is unlikely that they will return to the country. Sam Billings, James Vince and David Willey were among the English players participating. The Indian Premier League (IPL) was also postponed but it has since been confirmed that it will also resume on Saturday, with all 16 remaining fixtures rescheduled.
