Second group of Gaza pilgrims arrives under King Salman's guest program

Saudi Gazette report MAKKAH — The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance received the second batch of the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' program from Palestine. They included 500 male and female pilgrims from Gaza, bringing their number so far to 1000 pilgrims. Directives were given for the pilgrims to be hosted generously within the program, which is implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance to perform the Hajj pilgrimage for the year 1446 AH. The ministry is giving integrated services to provide the best services to the pilgrims from the moment they arrive at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah until they reach at their hosting location in Makkah The guests expressed their thanks and appreciation to Saudi Arabia's government for its interest in enabling them to perform Hajj rituals as part of the guest program. They praised the Kingdom's role in serving the guests of the House of God and the highest level of facilities provided to them. They prayed to God Almighty to protect Saudi Arabia, its leadership, and its people from all harm and misfortune, and to reward them abundantly for their service to Islam and Muslims. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visitation Guests is hosting 2,443 male and female pilgrims from 100 countries around the world this year. The pilgrims have begun arriving at the hosting sites in Makkah since the first day of Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH. .

MECCA AL-MUKARRAMAH, June 1 (MENA) - The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in Saudi Arabia received Sunday the first group of Palestinian guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit implemented by the ministry. The group including male and female Palestinians from the West Bank who are members of the families of martyrs, prisoners and wounded performing Hajj and Umrah this year 1446 AH. The pilgrims are among the first group of guests from the Palestine to arrive at the kingdom in implementation of directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to host 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims at his own expense. 1 June 2025 14:24 Makkah (SPA)A blind Yemeni pilgrim and Imam of a mosque in Taiz, Sheikh Majid Al-Khudairi, expressed profound joy upon his arrival in Makkah to perform Hajj as the pilgrimage was facilitated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, which is overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance. The program is operated in accordance with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and under the direct supervision of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Sheikh Al-Khudairi shared his journey, which began with a television interview where he voiced his aspiration to perform Hajj, leading to an immediate invitation to the program. "I never saw the Kaaba with my own eyes, but I felt its majesty touching my heart," he remarked. "My tears preceded my steps as I arrived at the two holy mosques. My feelings of faith overflowed within me as I sensed the sanctity of the place and the magnificence of the rituals."He extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Kingdom, its leadership, and its people for their dedicated efforts in serving Islam and Muslims."I am deeply grateful to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for this great generosity and generous care."I never expected to be able to perform Hajj due to my health condition, but the Kingdom, with its wise leadership, opened the door of hope for me," he stated. Al-Khudairi also lauded the comprehensive services provided by the ministry to the program's guests.

Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Saudi Arabia and Türkiye have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs, with a focus on promoting moderation and combating extremist ideologies. The MoU was signed by Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Sheikh, and Dr. Ali Erbaş, President of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. The agreement outlines joint efforts to highlight the values of tolerance and moderation in Islam, while countering extremism, fanaticism, and terrorism. The cooperation includes sharing information, expertise, and best practices, as well as organizing joint conferences, seminars, and meetings, and coordinating positions in international Islamic forums. Officials said the MoU reflects the strong bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, and both countries' commitment to activating collaboration across various sectors, particularly religious affairs.

King orders hosting of 1,300 pilgrims from 100 countries for Hajj

Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has directed the hosting of 1,300 pilgrims from 100 countries to perform Hajj this year under the annual Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit. The initiative is implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance. In a statement, Minister of Islamic Affairs and General Supervisor of the program Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Al-Sheikh extended his gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for the generous directive. He said the move reflects the Kingdom's continued commitment to supporting Islamic causes and underscores Saudi Arabia's leadership role in the Muslim world. The minister confirmed that the Ministry has immediately mobilized its resources to ensure the guests receive the highest standard of care and services.A comprehensive operational plan is already in place, featuring spiritual, cultural, and academic programs, as well as field visits to key Islamic and historical sites in Makkah and program also includes meetings with prominent scholars and imams of the Two Holy Mosques to enrich the guests' spiritual and intellectual described the initiative as a distinguished and strategic effort to strengthen ties with religious, academic, and intellectual leaders across the Islamic world and to promote civilizational and religious its inception in 1417H, the program has hosted nearly 65,000 pilgrims from 140 countries, providing them with full logistical, religious, healthcare, and cultural support—from nomination to their return home after completing Al Al-Sheikh emphasized that the program exemplifies the Kingdom's unwavering generosity and dedication to serving Islam and said it aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals by enhancing the Kingdom's global presence and deepening its connections with Islamic communities concluded with prayers for the safety and continued prosperity of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and for the sustained security, stability, and leadership of Saudi Arabia across all fields.
