Pilgrims urged to stay in camps from 10 am to 4 pm on the Day of Arafah
JEDDAH, June 1: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on Saturday urged pilgrims to remain in their camps on the Day of Arafat between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., advising them to avoid visiting Jabal al-Rahmah and Namirah Mosque to protect themselves from the intense sun and high temperatures. In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to the approved grouping schedules set by the relevant authorities and warned against violating these schedules during all phases of movement between the holy sites. The ministry also called on pilgrims to use only authorized transportation methods within the designated routes at the holy sites and discouraged walking between locations during the specified time frame. Highlighting its intensified efforts this Hajj season, the ministry assured that its services are fully prepared to help pilgrims perform their rituals comfortably and safely, despite the challenging high temperatures at the holy sites. Pilgrims were also reminded to keep their "Nusuk" cards on hand and present them when requested. The ministry stressed that carrying the card at all times during their stay in the holy sites is mandatory, as it serves as a crucial identification document that facilitates locating pilgrims and providing assistance if needed. The ministry urged all pilgrims to follow these instructions closely to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests of God.

"Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk", Op-ed
Elham Aboul Fateh Whenever I hear the song, "O those journeying to the beloved Prophet… how fortunate you are, and may it be my turn soon," my heart flutters, and I wish I were with them. So, congratulations to those for whom Hajj has been ordained this year. I feel as though I am standing amidst the crowd, pilgrims in their white garments, moving with steady steps towards the Kaaba, their hearts echoing: "Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk." How blessed are you, those whom our God has chosen to be His guests, and how blessed are you, circling His Sacred House. How fortunate you are, supplicating before the Kaaba, tears flowing unconsciously. People are like ocean waves in circumambulation; you cannot distinguish one from another. The rich beside the poor, the Arab beside the non-Arab, all saying, "O Allah," and wishing for forgiveness. And in Arafat, prayers ascend to the heavens, and hearts are tethered to mercy, forgiveness, and pardon… O God, grant us a share. We are here in our homes, perhaps far from the scene, but our hearts are there… We prepare for the sacrifice and chant the Takbirat: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahil Hamd." (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no god but Allah, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise.) Congratulations to those who have reached the Prophet's sanctuary and stood at his noble door, greeting him with uncontainable tears and hearts bearing longing and certainty. From the illuminated city of Medina to the honored city of Mecca, the stations of light unfold. In the circumambulation around the Kaaba, everything strips away the worldly and its adornments; faces turn towards the One and Only, and hearts beat: "Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk." Waves of humanity flow, old and young, men and women, from every color and tongue… "My turn, O God, my turn, to Arafat, to Muzdalifah, to Mina." And as the Day of Arafat approaches, homes begin their preparations. Sacrificial animals are bought, courtyards are cleaned, and hearts are made ready to receive the Day of Sacrifice. Eid al-Adha is not just a moment of joy, but a moment of awareness of Prophet Ibrahim's obedience, Prophet Ismail's submission, and the renewal of the covenant with Allah. I know that many applied for Hajj visas but it was not Allah's will for them to be among the pilgrims. God Willing, there will be more facilitations in the coming years, and may Allah grant it to everyone who longs for it. read more Analysis- Turkey Has 0 Regional Allies... Why? Eid Al-Adha 2025: Saudi Arabia Announces 4-Day Holiday for Private Sector
Saudi Arabia has announced Eid Al-Adha holiday, which will extend for four days for the employees of the private and non-profit sectors, reported the Saudi Gazette. On Wednesday, the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) announced that workers in the private and non-profit sectors will have a 4-day holiday for Eid Al-Adha. The holiday will start on the Day of Arafat, falling on Thursday June 5, 2025 and last until Sunday June 8, 2025. Moreover, the HRSD stressed that employers should take into account the overlapping cases stipulated in Article 24 of the Executive Regulations of the Saudi Labor Law to ensure that the holiday is implemented in line with the applicable rules. On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia confirmed the sighting of Dhu'al-Hijjah crescent moon, announcing Wednesday, May 28, 2025 the first day of the final month of the Islamic calendar. This means that Hajj rituals will begin on June 4, 2025, the eighth day of Dhu'al-Hijjah (Day of Tarwiyah). The Day of Arafat will fall on June 5, while the Day of Eid will be on June 6, 2025. Muslims celebrate Eid Al-Adha by prayers, animal sacrifice and charity work, fostering community togetherness. Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is obligatory for all able-bodied Muslims who can afford it, at least once in their lifetime. Hajj is a spiritual experience for Muslims, which involves undertaking a set of rituals performed by Prophet Mohammed PBUH centuries ago. It takes place during the first ten days of Dhu'al-Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar. Short link : Post Views: 1
