61-year-old dead after motorcycle crashes into truck

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman is dead after a crash in Preble County Tuesday afternoon. The Dayton Patrol Post of OSP confirmed Wednesday morning that the crash happened around 4:12 p.m. on Eaton Gettysburg Road near Spacht Road. The road was closed until about 7:45 p.m. An initial investigation of the crash indicates that it happened as a Harley Davidson FXD motorcycle was traveling northwest on the roadway. The motorcycle struck the back of a Toyota Tacoma. The driver of the motorcycle succumbed to injuries while en route to an area hospital. The driver was identified by the Preble County Coroner's Office as Katherine Dailey, 61, out of New Paris. The crash is under further investigation. The Preble County Sheriff's Office, Eaton Fire/EMS, Bud Reid's Towing and the Preble County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A crash into a utility pole has SR-235 closed in both directions. According to the Dayton Patrol Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 11:35 p.m. Monday night. A car crashed into the pole, knocking down utility lines. The driver of the vehicle reported minor injuries. SR-235 has been closed for several hours as crews have been on scene for clean up. OHGO reports that SR-235 northbound is closed from W.
