SMX Next champion Alexander Fedortsov to turn pro in Pala, California

Alexander Fedortsov, the 18-year-old 2025 SMX Next Champion, will turn pro at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, racing for ClubMX. Fedortsov peaked when it mattered most in the SMX Next program. After running well but finishing outside the top 15 in four of the five rounds, he won the season finale over Landen Gordon and Enzo Temmerman. He secured the title in the winner-take-all scenario for the developmental series. Fedortsov was the fastest qualifier in four of the five events, and although he finished last in the Daytona Supercross race, he had a four-second lead on the competition before suffering a flat tire while leading. 'I really have nothing more to prove to myself in the amateur ranks, and I feel I can do a good job for the team starting with the outdoor season this year,' Fedortsov said in a news release. 'It's a bit of a risk but one I am willing to take at this point in my career. The Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX team has always been supportive of my decisions, and I am very thankful for their support into the pros. 'It is actually a dream come true for me, it is what every kid dreams about and now I get to actually do it.' Fedortsov has raced since the age of six, and his ability to look beyond any disappointment this week to eventual success is one of the key elements that make him appealing to ClubMX. 'It is rare to have talents in both Motocross and Supercross at such a young age,' said ClubMX team owner Brandon Haas. 'Alex impressed me every step of the way and bringing home the SMX Next Championship was icing on the cake. He takes direction well, he follows the program and has made believers out of the entire team. We talked internally about the risk vs. reward by moving him up but it was an easy decision. He has a lot of confidence and is totally unfazed by the competition. He is going to add one more layer of excitement to the outdoor season.' Fedortsov has trained at the Chesterfield, South Carolina, facility since early 2022. The length of his contract was unspecified, but described as 'long-term.' Levi Kitchen, Pro Circuit extend contract though 2027

Levi Kitchen and Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki announced a two-year contract extension that will pair rider and team through the 2027 SuperMotocross League season. Kitchen joined the team in 2024 and finished second to RJ Hampshire in the 250 SX West division that year. Kitchen was one of 12 riders to win in the 250 class in 2025 when he scored the victory in Detroit. His season immediately took a turn the following week when he crashed in the Daytona Supercross race and broke his collarbone and suffered fractures in his upper back. Kitchen would not return to ride Supercross in 2025. Kitchen got back on the bike in early April to prepare for the Pro Motocross season opener next week at Fox Raceway in Pala, California. Last year, Kitchen finished second at Pala. He was second the following week in the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Rancho Cordova, California, before hitting a dry spell in the next four rounds. He overcame that in Spring Creek, Minnesota, and won three of the last five races. Cameron McAdoo to undergo knee surgery; return timeline unknown

Cameron McAdoo will undergo knee surgery on Thursday to repair an ACL that was torn in a preseason crash. A timeline for his return has not been announced. 'Hey everyone; I wanted to jump on here and give you guys an update,' McAdoo said in a social media post. 'As you all know, I didn't race the main event in Daytona last weekend. After practice and after the heat race, there were just a few moments on track that really made me realize that I was very low on strength with my leg. Obviously, my safety and all the other riders on the track's safety is the important thing. For me to race at the highest level, it had become just not quite safe yet, so the team came together and made the decision to go get my knee fixed up. Despite the injury, McAdoo finished fifth in his heat race and would have had a mid-pack gate pick. 'As you guys all know, that was a really tough decision for me,' McAdoo continued. 'I always want to be out on the track and trying my hardest. That was tough, but it was just time, so this week I have surgery scheduled for Thursday. Looking forward to going in and getting fixed up. I'll keep you guys all updated with my recovery process, keep you in the loop and just looking forward to getting healthy and getting back out there.' In the most recent Monster Energy Supercross 250 East race, McAdoo crashed while riding sixth on Lap 15 and suffered facial lacerations. 'My knee has just not been strong enough today to safely race, and my safety, along with other riders on the track, is the most important,' McAdoo said in a press release immediately following the race. 'As everyone knows, I will always do everything I can to race, but it was not in the cards for us today.' Incredibly, McAdoo finished third in the 250 East opener in Tampa, but the strain of three rounds and any practice he could endure had a cumulative effect on the health of his knee. 'It is what it is,' McAdoo reflected on his injury to NBC Sports to Daytona prior to the Daytona race. 'The same as it was in Tampa. I have a fully torn ACL, so nothing is going to change a whole lot, but we're managing it well at this point.' Levi Kitchen suffers broken collarbone, back fractures at Daytona Supercross

Levi Kitchen ran third on Lap 4 of Round 8 of the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross season when he crashed violently in the frontstretch rhythm section. He was evaluated at the infield care center of Daytona International Speedway and transported to a local hospital. On Sunday, he updated fans on his condition. Kitchen suffered a broken collarbone and fractures in his back. 'What's up everybody,' Kitchen posted on social media from his hospital bed. 'Thanks for all the texts and everything. I'm in the hospital in Daytona, obviously. Doing a little better now. 'I'm sore but broke (my right collarbone) and have a couple of fractures in my upper back. So, yeah, it was unfortunate. I felt like I kind of maybe found a new level of riding last night. There are some positives to take away, but I got a little bit greedy with that section. I'm just glad it wasn't worse. I haven't seen the crash — don't really want to, because it's probably pretty gnarly right there, but thank you, everybody. I'll be alright.' Neither Kitchen nor the team has provided an update on when he is expected to return to action. Earning only one point with his 21st-place Daytona finish, Kitchen fell to seventh in the points standings. Kitchen down hard! 😳 The red flag has come out, and a staggered restart will take place. #SupercrossLIVE #SMX More SuperMotocross News Daytona 450 results | 250 results Ken Roczen wins first Daytona race A DM led to partnership between Moranz, Champion Tool Daytona Supercross preview What riders said after Arlington Jordon Smith punctures lung in Arlington crash Cooper Webb wins Arlington; Sexton loses red plate Kevin Moranz works his way up the chart Eli Tomac may return before Supercross ends
