Levi Kitchen suffers broken collarbone, back fractures at Daytona Supercross
On Sunday, he updated fans on his condition. Kitchen suffered a broken collarbone and fractures in his back.
'What's up everybody,' Kitchen posted on social media from his hospital bed. 'Thanks for all the texts and everything. I'm in the hospital in Daytona, obviously. Doing a little better now.
'I'm sore but broke (my right collarbone) and have a couple of fractures in my upper back. So, yeah, it was unfortunate. I felt like I kind of maybe found a new level of riding last night. There are some positives to take away, but I got a little bit greedy with that section. I'm just glad it wasn't worse. I haven't seen the crash — don't really want to, because it's probably pretty gnarly right there, but thank you, everybody. I'll be alright.'
Neither Kitchen nor the team has provided an update on when he is expected to return to action.
Earning only one point with his 21st-place Daytona finish, Kitchen fell to seventh in the points standings.

Motocross 2025 450 results, highlights, finish at Unadilla: Jett Lawrence's fifth season sweep
Jett Lawrence swept both motos of a Pro Motocross National for the fifth time in 2025 at Unadilla MX in New Berlin, New York, and clinched his second championship in three seasons with a perfect accumulation of 50 points. Jett was highly motivated to win after being penalized for fouling the gate by the American Motorcycle Association last week at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, but that did not show in his racing. In both motos, Jett took the lead early, rode off to a comfortable pace, and managed the gap like he has so many times this season. He won Moto 1 by 7.777 seconds and Moto 2 by 9.305 seconds. Jett left New York with a 53-point lead over his older brother Hunter Lawrence. Jett's previous sweeps came in the season opener at Fox Raceway, Thunder Valley, Southwick, and RedBud. From the top of the podium in New York, he said he manifested his Round 1 win and the title after suffering an Achilles Tendon injury midway through the Monster Energy Supercross season. The same results this week did not produce nearly as lucrative a result. Hunter scored another 2-2 at Unadilla and finished second overall for the fifth time in 2025. With one round remaining, Hunter has his elusive win and might lose a little motivation. Still, a sweep of the top five in the first 10 rounds of Pro Motocross gives him momentum as the field begins to turn its attention to the SuperMotocross World Championship playoffs in two weeks. Eli Tomac has something else in mind for the season finale. He does not want to end the Motocross season winless, and has only one more opportunity to score his victory. He will need the Lawrence brothers to stumble after finishing third in both Unadilla races. He was more than 17 seconds off the pace in Moto 2 and 22 seconds in arrears in Moto 1. Relive Moto 1 RJ Hampshire continued to be consistent at Unadilla with results of fourth in Moto 1 and fifth in Moto 2. He narrowly edged Justin Cooper by one point for the fourth position overall. Unadilla Motocross 2025 preview: Top finishes, previous winners, historic results, who to watch
Hunter Lawrence's first overall motocross win, Jett Lawrence's penalty, Chase Sexton's hard crash in Moto 2 at Ironman Raceway Park last week, and the fact that Eli Tomac has never won an overall at Unadilla MX Park in New Berlin, New York, sets the stage for Round 10 of the Pro Motocross season, Round 27 of the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX), to be one of the most interesting races of the season. Hosting races since 1969, Unadilla pre-dates Pro Motocross itself and has been the site of some iconic events, including the first Motocross of Nations in 1987. That year, Bob Hannah led Rick Johnson and Jeff Ward to victory in the middle of a 13-year streak of victories for Team USA. Last year, Sexton continued his string of victories at Unadilla and came close to wrapping up the 2024 championship. Dan Beaver, Jett won there in 2023 as part of his perfect rookie season, and he could easily clinch the Pro Motocross championship this week. The penalty at Ironman that kept him from securing the overall win and placed him outside the top five also put a chip on his shoulder that will make him even more dangerous. Losing two consecutive motocross rounds is extremely rare for Jett. The last time that happened was in the 250 class in 2022, and it came at the site of the following two rounds, Unadilla and Budds Creek, according to Ken Roczen will return to action this week and race the final two Motocross rounds in preparation for the SMX Playoffs. He won back-to-back rounds in 2019 and 2021 (2020 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic), and has Sexton's goal of finishing in the top 10 in his first round back in mind this week. Hunter became the fourth rider to score his first overall win after standing on the podium at least 10 times. When Chad Reed first won in 2009, he had come close 27 times. That same season, Mike Alessi got his first win after 12 podiums. In 2022 at Hangtown, Jason Anderson completed the task after 16 top-three results. Hunter finished second 10 times and was on the podium 14 times previously before Ironman. RJ Hampshire scored his first overall podium last week after qualifying a season-best of second. 250 Notes Haiden Deegan has a chance to clinch the 250 division this week, and momentum is on his side after a 1-1 finish at Ironman. He has been first or second in 17 of the 18 motos run this week Deegan also has the chance to catch Jett in 250 wins at Unadilla and could pass him for sole possession of eighth on the chart if he races and wins in Budds Creek. Jett achieved 14 wins in 36 starts. If Deegan wins this week, he will have 14 victories in 34 starts. In the SMX points battle, Deegan clinched the No. 1 seed last week. Jo Shimoda is comfortably second, but the remainder of the top 10 is in question. Notably, positions sixth through 10th are separated by 16 points. Chase Sexton out until SuperMotocross World Championship with shoulder injury
After a violent crash in the Ironman National last week in Crawfordsville, Indiana, Chase Sexton has chosen to sit out the final two rounds of the Pro Motocross season, so he can enter the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship in the best shape. 'Good day going at Ironman until it wasn't,' Sexton posted on social media. "[G]oing 1-DNF on the day. [B]rake malfunction [in the] second moto was out of [my] and [Jade Dungey's] control, and for me, I was just a passenger at that point, and I tried all I could do to save it. With that being said, I'm still encouraged by my riding and am happy with how it was going up until that point. 'As far as my body goes, my right shoulder is weak from the crash and [I] am getting it looked at this week. With that being said, it's in my best interest to get ready for SMX and come in at 100%. Just want to say thank you to the fans for always having my back, and I can't wait to see y'all in Charlotte.' Sexton sat out four rounds after experiencing a hard crash in the season opener at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, also complaining of shoulder pain at the time. Sexton won Moto 1 at Ironman and was in position to score the overall victory when the crash occurred. Red Bull KTM's Ian Harrison identified the bike problem experienced by Sexton as debris in the rear brakes. 'After inspecting the bike Saturday evening, and reviewing the bike data, we now have a clearer understanding of what led up to Chase's crash in moto two at Ironman, and I want to clarify that it was neither rider nor mechanic error,' Harrison said in a statement. 'Initially, we thought it was a front brake issue, but we now know that debris got into the rear brake system, preventing Chase from activating the rear brake. This forced him to reduce all his speed using only the front brake. We can also see from the bike data that he left the jump on this lap at a much higher rate of speed than at any other lap during the day. 'This issue, in turn, caused Chase to crash. The bike landed on the right side first, which then caused the front brake lever to get packed with mud and activate. Chase was unable to continue because of this. We will actively look for a solution to prevent this from happening again, but as we know, in racing, motocross is tough on the equipment, and when you add the speed and intensity that our riders race at, this exaggerates everything. This was disappointing for both Chase and our team, as well as the fans.' Sexton returned in Round 6 at RedBud MX Park in Buchanan, Michigan, in Round 6 of the outdoor series, to secure the best seeding for the SuperMotocross World Championship playoffs, which begin on September 6 at zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. He finished fifth in his first round back. His results improved quickly with a third-place finish in Millville, Minnesota, the following week and a victory in the Washougal (Wash.) National. That victory marked the first time a rider had beaten a healthy Jett Lawrence. Sexton finished third last year at zMax Dragway and was second the following week at Texas Motor Speedway in the first two playoff rounds. An incident during Moto 1 of the season finale caused him to finish 24th overall of 24 riders. Sexton finished seventh in last year's SMX standings after his third-round problems. The highlight of his SuperMotocross playoff career came in 2023, when Sexton won the series opener and ended Jett Lawrence's perfect winning streak on a 450 bike.
