Ryan Reynolds Posts Cryptic Avengers: Doomsday & Deadpool Tease
Ryan Reynolds' recent post has seemingly teased Deadpool's entry into Avengers: Doomsday, months after the movie's official cast announcement. Reynolds, who made his MCU debut with the 2024 movie Deadpool & Wolverine, was not included in the cast list revealed for the upcoming Avengers outing back in March. However, at the time of writing, Marvel Studios has not made any statement regarding the actor's cryptic post. Ryan Reynolds may have teased Deadpool's appearance in Avengers: Doomsday Ryan Reynolds recently surprised Marvel fans by sharing a post on Instagram, seemingly hinting at Deadpool joining the Avengers: Doomsday cast. The post showcased the Avengers logo with a red 'A' spray-painted over it. However, he didn't mention anything in the caption, creating more curiosity around the post. As soon as the post arrived on his Instagram, fans chimed in to share their theories about Deadpool's possible inclusion in Avengers: Doomsday. Currently, Marvel Studios has not made any announcement regarding Reynolds joining the upcoming movie. In April, the actor spoke with TIME, where he shared his views on Deadpool joining the Avengers or the X-Men. He said, 'If Deadpool becomes an Avenger or an X-Man, we're at the end. That's wish fulfillment, and you can't give him that.' Before that, Reynolds echoed the same thought during an interview with THR in December 2024. He told the outlet that he finds Deadpool's 'enthusiasm and longing to be part of a team' very endearing. But Reynolds doesn't think Deadpool 'should ever be an Avenger or an X-Man,' as, according to him, 'If he becomes either, we're at the end.' Reynolds also stated that Deadpool appearing in the Avengers and X-Men movies 'works so well,' but 'he always needs to stay an outsider.' Now, it remains to be seen if Deadpool will make an appearance in Doomsday or not. Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is expected to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026. James Mardsen's Happy to Be Cyclops Again for ‘Avengers: Doomsday'
After The Marvels and Deadpool & Wolverine laid the groundwork for more Fox X-Men to return, Avengers: Doomsday is going all in by bringing back several non-Wolverine (or Professor X) characters from the original films. Among them is James Marsden, who played Cyclops in that initial trilogy and didn't really get to do much in them. Speaking to Vanity Fair, the actor recalled '20 years of listening to people say, 'When are you coming back? When are you coming back? Are you coming back?' But I'm dead, or maybe not.' Despite 'getting a little long in the tooth to put on the superhero costume,' he called getting it 'a real blast' to put the shades on again for Doomsday. Marsden was one of the first X-actors to bow out of the franchise, having been killed off early into X-Men: The Last Stand after he booked a role in Superman Returns. The last time he showed up as the always right mutant was a short cameo at the end of Days of Future Past in a new timeline, which seemed at the time to close the book on 'the firrst real event project I was ever a part of, and a very beloved character.' 'To step back into that role was pretty special,' he continued, 'and it's been a nice little homecoming to a role that really put me on the map.' Other returning X-actors for Doomsday include Alan Cumming as Nightcralwer, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and Ian McKellen as Magneto. Two current, notable absences are Famke Janssen's Jean Grey and Halle Berry's Storm. With how much fun X-Men '97 had rehabilitating Cyclops into a very cool (and very flawed) hero, hopefully Marsden gets to show out when Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026. Beloved Marvel Star Might Be Done With The MCU
As the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe gets launched, fans are eager to see what other characters might make appearances or even reappearances, though sadly one MCU star might not return in the future. While we could always be surprised, the star insists they're in the dark as to what might happen next with their character. It's worth noting that the character's most recent appearance was a surprise for fans, so there could still be something in the works. Nothing official has been announced, but behind-the-scenes movement wouldn't be out of the question. As shared in a recent interview with ComicBook, however, she suggests that nothing yet has happened on that front. Though the star adds she would absolutely love to return for a future MCU project. Here's what she shared with ComicBook: 'I actually have no idea, legitimately,' X-23 actress Dafne Keen said. 'My answer's always, 'I have no idea,' so it's a pretty short answer.' As mentioned, she did say she 'would love to' reprise the role again, so that's reassuring. Keen most recently played X-23, otherwise known as the female clone of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, in the film Deadpool & Wolverine . The film featured a number of Marvel characters, including several X-Men, who have been transported to 'The Void.' Keen's X-23 is one of the members stuck in this location and takes the time to connect with Jackman's Wolverine variant that is separate from the one she knew in Logan . Marvel Studios is currently developing a reboot of the X-Men films, so it's unknown how many ties they want to keep with Fox's old franchise going forward. Though quite a few classic characters are also showing up in Avengers: Doomsday , so the franchise could have a variety of spots to place Dafne Keen's X-23 amongst the other MCU heroes. As such, we'll see what happens. Fortunately, she seems eager to reprise her role, so the ball is apparently in Marvel's court. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates as we have them.

Australian actor Deborra-Lee Furness expressed her compassion towards everyone who has undergone trauma due to betrayal. The couple ended their 27 years of marriage. While speaking to the media recently, she reflected on healing through personal growth. Furness also spoke about dealing with hurt amid her split with the 'Wolverine' a statement given to Daily Mail, she said her "compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal." "It's a profound wound that cuts deep. However, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working for us," the 69-year-old actor stated that even the most painful experiences can lead to liberation and freedom. She further said, "It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values, and boundaries is liberation and freedom." Unlike other divorces in Hollywood, which drag for a longer period, Furness and Jackman had an amicable settlement, according to the report. Both are coming out of this financially secure. They based their marriage on honesty. But if Hugh didn't physically cheat, she knows that he did emotionally."advertisementThe ex-couple, during their marriage, owned and sold multiple properties, including a $21-million penthouse in New York, a $5.9 million beach house in Sydney, and a property in East Hampton, New York. "They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out in terms of a settlement," the report quoted another source as saying. In September 2023, Furness and Jackman shared a joint statement about ending their marriage of 27 years. The statement read, "We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."In an interaction with TMZ, when asked about the split from Furness, the 'Deadpool And Wolverine' actor admitted that this has been a 'difficult time' for him and his family.
