Picture: leratokganyago/Instagram Lerato Kganyago Ndlala bagged more than R62 000 on the TV show Deal or No Deal Celebrity for charity just before celebrating her birthday and says the timing couldn't have been better. 'The timing couldn't have been better. It felt like the universe was saying 'you're doing okay, keep going',' Kganyago-Ndlala told The Citizen. Her winnings are for the Jumping Kids Prosthetic Fund, a non-profit organisation that provides prosthetic equipment and support to children with lower limb amputations or deficiencies. 'That moment on the show, and what it meant beyond the money, was the perfect start to my new year,' shared the media personality. 'Being on the show myself was a completely different experience though. I definitely had a few nerves, but the excitement quickly took over once I was on that stage. The energy was electric.' Her win, which is R62 200, made her the biggest winner on the second season of the game show. 'I didn't walk in with a specific number in mind,' the Metro FM on-air personality shares. 'My goal was more about being present, and enjoying the experience, and trusting my instincts along the way. The win felt incredibly rewarding. It was more than I expected, and I walked away feeling proud of how I played the game.' Kganyago-Ndlala said such initiatives give her a sense of fulfilment that she is using her fame for good. 'I've always felt that being in the public eye comes with responsibility. It's not just about the glitz and glam, it's about showing up for causes that matter,' she says. 'When I get to use my platform to create tangible change or bring awareness to something meaningful, it's deeply fulfilling. That's the kind of legacy I want to build.' She said the work that Jumping Kids does is admirable. 'What they do to help children living with amputations live fuller, more active lives is simply incredible,' said the former Miss Soweto, and later Miss South Africa judge. 'I've always had a soft spot for children, youth development and anything that restores confidence in our kids. For me, it's not just about prosthetics, it's about giving children the freedom to dream, move and thrive.' Noel Edmonds breaks down as he makes emotional confession about his marriage
Former Deal or No Deal star Noel Edmonds was left in tears during the latest episode of his ITV series Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure Telly legend Noel Edmonds was moved to tears in the latest instalment of his ITV series Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure as he divulged his heartfelt plan to marry wife Liz yet again - marking the fifth time. The 76-year-old Deal or No Deal icon got emotional when discussing the renovation of a dilapidated chapel on his £15m New Zealand property, revealing his dream of exchanging vows there once more with the "love of his life". Choking back tears, he shared: "The plan is to restore it completely," and continued, "And Liz and I will get married for a fifth time. To restore the chapel and have all our friends here somehow... it's a really important milestone on this journey." His show captured the poignant scenes as he embarks on converting River Haven, his South Island eco-retreat and vineyard, into an idyllic sanctuary for his nearest and dearest. Noel gave the audience a peek at the unique features of his estate, including the vine-covered pub named The B*gger Inn and the chapel, now just home to insects, which he hopes to morph into a homage to his affection for Liz, whom he wed back in 2009. During the moving episode, Noel invited viewers along as he envisioned the chapel's future and then romantically proposed once again to Liz amidst bubbles in a hot tub, reports the Express. While immersed in water, he pitched to her: "I've had an idea, bear with me," before expressing, "We've never been married in New Zealand, our home. "And I propose that we restore the chapel at the farm and on our wedding anniversary I want to walk you down the aisle of our own chapel and have the wonderful Russell, the local minister, marry us. Again. Deal or No Deal?" Liz responded with laughter: "Go on then!" as Noel got down on one knee - slightly submerging underwater - and made it official for the fifth time. "How could I refuse?" she added. Speaking to the cameras, Liz said: "He's a big romantic, which I'm pleased about. Because after almost 20 years, he still wants to marry me." Noel previously disclosed they've already been married four times in various locations - including a civil ceremony in the Cotswolds, a blessing in France, and even an impromptu wedding on a cruise ship with the captain officiating. "It became a bit of a joke with our friends," he confessed. "But now we want a Kiwi one - and there's a compelling reason. We own a chapel!" The couple first met in 2006 when Liz was a stand-in makeup artist on Deal or No Deal. Three years later, they exchanged vows in what became the first of many "I dos".

Noel Edmonds and wife fled New Zealand home as terrifying earthquake shook house
After buying a luxury estate in New Zealand in 2018, the couple have faced their fair share of extreme weather. Deal or No Deal star Noel Edmonds and his wife Liz fled their New Zealand home as a powerful earthquake shook the house. The couple quit life in the United Kingdom and moved to New Zealand in 2018, buying a huge estate complete with a vineyard and pub. Edmonds purchased the 800-acre River Haven estate in a bid to open up a retreat. His move has been documented in the star's latest return to TV, Noel's Kiwi Adventure, after he was scarcely seen on our screens since his relocation. But he has encountered some hurdles in New Zealand. The second episode of the show saw Noel concede that he was 'haemorrhaging money' on the project. The star has also reportedly had some run-ins with unhappy locals who accused him of 'colonising' the area. And Noel has encountered some difficulties with the harsh weather of New Zealand, including the earthquakes in the Southern Hemisphere, reports Devon Live. Speaking to The Sun, he said: 'You get landslips. And the sun? It'll burn you within ten minutes in the peak season. Oh, and earthquakes. We've had three. 'During the first one, we were sitting outside with a glass of wine, and I noticed the surface of the wine rippling. That was a mild one. 'The biggest one really shook the house — the cutlery drawer rattled, and Liz and I each grabbed a dog and ran outside.' Noel says he 'luckily' managed to get through the earthquake without any damage at River Haven. And it's not just the earthquakes the star has had to adapt to. The TV presenter admits the rain in New Zealand is unlike anything he had experienced living in the UK. He says that while he would get 'drizzle' living on the English coast, he is now adjusting to 'tropical rain' in New Zealand. The weather has also made an impact on his business, said the star. Speaking on his new show, he said: 'When you come to New Zealand, you change your view about your relationship between the weather and the economy." He continued: "We're haemorrhaging money at the moment because you have to take staff on in anticipation of the guests coming. We're going to have to have a spectacular November and December to balance the books." It has left Noel, 76, wondering whether the work he has done at River Haven will be able to sustain him throughout his life. He said: 'New Zealand is a great place to come to but it's not the easiest place to set up a business. "We've done a fascinating thing with the River Haven adventure. Will it be the move that sustains us for years to come? Watch this space!" Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! He told the Mirror of the proposal: 'We've been married a lot. We got married in a civil ceremony in the Cotswolds, then we went to our home in France and an Anglican minister who I knew very well came over and he was going to bless us and he did the whole thing again. 'So this became a bit of a joke with our friends. Oh yeah, we were filming on a cruise ship and the captain married us again. 'We've done four. But we want a Kiwi one. After two previous marriages he wed Liz Davies in 2009 after three years together. The couple met in 2006 when she was a stand-in make-up artist on his show, Deal or No Deal. 'But my project, starting early next year, is to restore it completely and then Liz and I will get married for the fifth time.' It comes as the quirky host insisted that his new ITV1 show is nothing like Clarkson's Farm — because he's not as funny as the former Top Gear star. Noel exclusively told The Sun: 'When we were filming our show, some people who knew about Clarkson's Farm said to me, 'Oh, is it like Clarkson's Farm?' 'And I said, 'No, it couldn't be more different.' First of all, I'm not like Jeremy in many ways, though I wish I were. "He's brilliant. He can articulate an argument beautifully and deliver a sharp, humorous line like no one else.' Noel, 76, went on to crack a joke about his years in the showbiz wilderness. His last big gig was on I'm A Celebrity in 2018, when he was voted out after only nine days. Noel laughed: 'People still ask, 'Noel Edmonds? Didn't he die? Is he still around?' 'Yes, I'm still here — and living life to the full.' 4 For the first time, Noel will be putting his new life in New Zealand in the spotlight Credit: PA
