The epic teaser, which was revealed at the world's largest gaming event, gamescom, sent fans into a frenzy as a new character and casting was unveiled, as well as a first look at the terrifying predator, the Deathclaw. During the gamescom Opening Night Live global livestream, it was also announced that the highly anticipated new season, which will consist of eight episodes, will premiere at the end of the year on December 17, 2025. It will pick up from the aftermath of season one's epic finale in April 2024, which is available to stream on Prime Video, and will take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. The first season of Fallout brought in more than 100 million viewers worldwide, ranking among the service's top three most-watched titles ever. Together, they surprised the crowd by revealing the teaser trailer for the second series. The footage featured new cast member, Justin Theroux, in the role of Robert House, and also gave audiences their first glimpse of one of the Fallout universe's most terrifying post-apocalyptic predators - the Deathclaw. The trailer has now also been released Amazon Prime's official Instagram account with excited fans rushing to the comment section to react to the news. Theroux plays smarmy very well.' Somebody else couldn't contain their excitement as they wrote: "I am turning feral we get Vegas in its prime and a Deathclaw!" Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there's almost nothing left to have. Two hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind - and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.

Prime Video confirms 'Fallout' season 2 release date in epic first trailer — here's when we're heading to New Vegas
Just days after we got our first look at "Fallout" season 2, Prime Video dropped a teaser trailer for "Fallout" season 2 and a release date for the hit video game adaptation's second season during the Gamescom Opening Night Live livestream — and I can't wait to get back to the Wasteland. It was clear from "Fallout's" first season that the cast and crew just got the franchise's vibe, and this season 2 teaser trailer makes for an intense (but exciting!) watch. While we've known for some time that "Fallout" season 2 would be taking us to Mr. House's Mojave playground, New Vegas, seeing the city's bright lights and sights brought to life here is a real treat — as is the Deathclaw run-in teased at the end of the clip. Check out the new footage below: The new "Fallout" season 2 teaser isn't just an exercise in Fallout: New Vegas location-spotting, though: it's also teeing up plenty more conflict to come. We glimpse The Ghoul/Cooper Howard's past as we're told he'd do "anything" to save his family, get a quick look at Lucy and The Ghoul crossing paths with what looks to be Caesar's Legion, watch as Radroaches infest a Vault, and see explosions, firefights, and more. All in all, this is a killer teaser trailer, and it's certainly got me excited to stream "Fallout" season 2. If you can't wait to see New Vegas in a whole new light, you'll be pleased to know that "Fallout" season 2 premieres on Prime Video on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. New episodes will air weekly, through to the season finale on February 4, 2026. Prime Video's "Fallout" season 2 summary gives little away about the upcoming season, beyond what we've seen above. It reads: "The new season will pick up in the aftermath of Season One's epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas." Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Cast-wise, we know that most of our major players are back for "Fallout" season 2. We'll be seeing Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, and Aaron Moten, plus Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Frances Turner, and Rafi Silver as Lucky 38 Casino proprietor, Mr. House. Macaulay Culkin is also due to appear as a "crazy genius-type character," though his precise role remains undisclosed. Whatever happens in season 2, we also know this won't be the end of our tale, as Prime Video handed the series a season 3 renewal way back in May 2025. Need something to stream in the meantime? You can either stream the first season of 'Fallout' on Prime Video to refresh your memory of the story so far, or check out our round-up of the best shows like 'Fallout' to tide you over until the show's return. ‘Fallout' Season 2 trailer: Sophomore outing heads to New Vegas, introduces Deathclaw
Prime Video has released the first trailer for season two of Fallout, confirming a December 17 premiere for the post-apocalyptic drama. The new season picks up in the wake of last year's finale, taking the story from the Mojave wasteland to the neon-lit ruins of New Vegas. The trailer, unveiled during Gamescom, teases an expanded scope with the introduction of Robert House, played by Justin Theroux, and the first appearance of a Deathclaw — one of the most feared creatures from the Fallout videogame series. Flashback sequences also hint at a closer look at the origins of the nuclear war that devastated the series' retro-futuristic America. Returning cast members include Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Walton Goggins (The White Lotus), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), and Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks). The first season, which ranked among Prime Video's three most-watched original titles, ended with MacLachlan's Hank MacLean fleeing in the chaos of the Brotherhood of Steel's clash with Moldaver's New California Republic raiders. Meanwhile, Lucy (Purnell) and The Ghoul (Goggins) set out together toward New Vegas. Based on Bethesda's long-running video game franchise, Fallout has been praised for balancing faithful world-building with new storylines. Season two promises to delve deeper into the politics and power struggles of New Vegas while exploring the fractured alliances left behind in California. The series is overseen by showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, with Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Todd Howard, and James Altman serving as executive producers. Fallout Season 2 arrives December 17 on Prime Video.

Fallout season two has a teaser trailer and a December 17 release date
Things are ramping up for a return to the wasteland this winter. Season two of Prime Video's Fallout TV show will debut on December 17. The second season had already been loosely pegged for a December release when the news of a third season appeared earlier this year, and the studio shared a few still images of the cast in the upcoming New Vegas setting just yesterday. The announcement during the Opening Night Live show for Gamescom 2025 also included a surprisingly lengthy teaser trailer with a few tidbits about what to expect in the next eight episodes of the hugely popular video game adaptation. It includes footage of the show's first Deathclaw, that well-known and oft-despised enemy from the world of the games. Alongside returning stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten and Walton Goggins, the teaser reveals that Justin Theroux has been cast as Mr. House, the enigmatic leader of New Vegas.
