Whataburger is offering 75-cent hamburgers. Here's how to get them
A Texas hamburger institution is offering the nation a deal for its birthday. Whataburger is offering 75-cent hamburgers to celebrate its 75th anniversary Aug. 8. The offer from the Texas export can be redeemed on its app for the #1 classic hamburger from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time. The offer is limited to one hamburger per customer with a Whataburger rewards account. "This anniversary is our way of saying thank you. Thank you for your trust, your loyalty, and for letting us be part of your table," Whataburger President and CEO Debbie Stroud said in a July 24 press release. The company added that it will debut the second collection of its limited-edition Whataburger Commemorative Cups ahead of the anniversary on Aug. 5. The chain operates over 1,100 restaurants in 17 states, particularly in Texas, the South and Southwest. Whataburger 75th anniversary celebrations in hometown The company said in the press release that it will have an anniversary celebration in its hometown of Corpus Christi that coincides with the offer. "As we celebrate this milestone, we're not just marking time - we're honoring the memories, the traditions, and the quality experiences that keep folks coming back," Stroud said. The celebrations will take place at Whataburger Field as the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Houston Astros' AA affiliate, will take on the Tulsa Drillers, the Los Angeles Dodgers' AA affiliate. The Hooks will play as the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits for the 75th Anniversary Celebration game and fans will leave with a coupon for the namesake side. Those who show up early can receive a Whataguy mask or cape.

Iconic burger chain returns fan favorite item three years later

"You asked, we listened-our Mushroom Swiss Burger is back! Because some legends don't belong in the past... they belong in your hands," said Whataburger President and CEO Debbie Stroud. "This year marks our 75th anniversary, and we wanted to give our customers something they've been asking for," Stroud added. The Whataburger Mushroom and Swiss Burger first launched in 2018, and only a year later, it was named a fan-favorite by the fast food chain due to its huge popularity. However, the beloved burger was mysteriously removed in 2022, never to be seen again. But what makes this burger so special compared to the rest? The Whataburger Mushroom and Swiss Burger consists of two grilled all-beef patties, topped with melted Swiss cheese, creamy au jus sauce, and grilled mushrooms, all sandwiched between a sliced warm bun. Although the relaunch of this beloved menu item is music to many fans' ears, the Whataburger Mushroom and Swiss Burger will not stay on the menu forever. However, once the burger is removed from the menu indefinitely, there is room for new products to be launched or for other banished favorites to come back. Some are still waiting for the return of the infamous Steak Fajitas, which have not been seen since the early 2000s.
