Sudan's ambassador to UAE refuses severing of ties, continues office
The ambassador on Wednesday affirmed in a statement that he will continue discharging his mission as a legitimate ambassador and official representative of the government of December 2018 Revolution.

Sudan's ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abdul Rahman Shurfi, has categorically rejected decision by the Port Sudan authority to cut ties with the UAE and withdraw the ambassador and consule arguing that the military don't have the mandate to take such action, and that they do not represent
the legitimate government of Sudan and the real will of its people.
The ambassador on Wednesday affirmed in a statement that he will continue discharging his mission as a legitimate ambassador and official representative of the government of December 2018 Revolution.
The Sudanese embassy and consulate in the UAE will go on offering service to the Sudanese community there as usual in preservation of the country's higher interests.
Shurfi said the Sudanese-UAE relations are solid based on decades of mutual cooperation and understanding. 'Political prohaha will not affect the essence of these relations' , he added.
The Sudanese government announced severing diplomatic ties with the UAE on Monday accusing the Gulf state of supporting the Rapid Support Forces in its recent drone attacks against Port Sudan.
