Newark man who died 2 days after crash near Glasgow is identified by police
A 91-year-old Newark man who died two days after a crash near Glasgow has been identified by Delaware State Police as William Blevins. Blevins, of the Newark area, died on May 12. The crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. on May 10 as Blevis, who was southbound on Sunset Lake Road and approaching Broadleaf Drive, decided to make a wide U-turn, police said. More: Pennsylvania woman killed in Greenville crash on May 10 identified by police As he did, police said Blevis' Honda Accord entered the path of a RAM 150 pickup making a left turn from the south lanes of Sunset Lake Road. After the collision, Blevins was taken to an area hospital, where police said he died two days later. The pickup driver, a 60-year-old Bear man, was not injured. Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information is asked to contact Sergeant J. Pedestrian hit, killed after car veered off roadway in Ogletown
A 48-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a teen driver who Delaware State Police said veered off an Ogletown roadway on April 28. Police are withholding the pedestrian's identity until his family and relatives are notified. More: 39-year-old pedestrian struck and killed on Route 113 in Georgetown April 22 The pedestrian, from the Newark area, was in the right shoulder of northbound Salem Church Road, south of Chapman Road, when police said a 2015 Nissan Altima veered off the right side of the road and hit him. Police are investigating why the Nissan, driven by an 18-year-old man, veered off the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The Nissan driver, from the Bear area, was taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact investigators at (302) 365-8485. Delaware police identify Clayton man killed after running stop sign
A 73-year-old man killed after he ran a stop sign near Clayton has been identified by Delaware State Police as Joseph Bonello. Bonello, of the Clayton area, was driving a Jeep Compass north on Alley Mill Road west of Clayton about 12:05 p.m. on April 22. As he approached Clayton Delaney Road, police said, he "rolled through" the stop sign at the intersection and his Jeep was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado. The Silverado's driver, a 40-year-old Clayton-area man, and his two passengers were taken to an area hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries. They were later released. Delaware police identify Maryland woman killed in Selbyville crash Wednesday
Delaware State Police have identified the woman killed in a single-vehicle crash near Selbyville on Wednesday night as 27-year-old Dalyn Budler of Bishopville, Maryland. According to police, Budler was driving a Hyundai Sonata westbound on Cypress Road when she approached a curve near Daisey Road. The vehicle veered off the north side of the road, striking a tree with its rear right side. The car continued moving before colliding with a second tree.
