Sara Khan Accuses Fashion Event Organisers Of Mental Harassment: 'Left Me In Shady Hotel'
Sara Khan accused Delhi 6 Fashion Runway Week organisers of mental harassment and unsafe conditions. She shared her ordeal online. Sara Khan has levelled serious allegations against the organisers of the Delhi 6 Fashion Runway Week, claiming she was mentally harassed and placed in unsafe conditions during her visit to the capital. The actress took to social media on August 4 to detail her ordeal, warning others in the entertainment and fashion industry to be cautious while dealing with event organisers. Khan, who rose to fame with her debut in Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai, shared a video where she explained her version of events surrounding the August 2 fashion show she was invited to attend. Despite being a regular visitor to Delhi and having fond memories of the city, Khan said this trip was 'the most terrible experience" of her career, which spans nearly two decades. 'I've been working in this industry since almost 18 years and this is the most terrible experience of my life. I was supposed to attend the event on August 2 in Delhi, a city I've always loved and they have been so welcoming always. However, the organisers failed to provide the basic safety, hospitality and commitments they promised," she said in the video. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sara Khan (@ssarakhan) According to her, not only was there a last-minute change of accommodation without any prior intimation, but she was also relocated to what she described as a 'shady place" with no proper assistance from the organising team. 'The only arrangement was a car with a driver, which I found very unacceptable. When I refused to proceed, one of the organisers threatened my team members," she said, adding that she eventually had to arrange her own return travel for safety reasons. Without naming individuals, Khan called out the organisers for breaching trust and professionalism, and extended an apology to fans who were expecting her at the show. 'My safety was at risk and I had to prioritise that," she said. 'This experience was completely unacceptable and I'm speaking out to warn others in the industry." On the professional front, Sara was last seen in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya and has featured in numerous TV shows and films, including Bigg Boss 4, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, and Lock Upp. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. TV actress Sara Khan, known for her roles in shows like Sasural Simar Ka and Sapna Babul Ka…Bidai recently opened up about her horrifying encounter at a fashion event in Delhi. In an Instagram video, the Bigg Boss 4 fame talked about a series of occurrences that allegedly made her feel unsafe and disrespectful, prompting her to offer a strong warning to her friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Although the actress didn't reveal the name of the organisers, she asked her fellow artists and colleagues to be aware and take necessary precautions when coming to any events. In the clip, the actress shared, 'I'm making this video to alert my colleagues and other event industry professionals about my terrible experience with the organisers of Delhi 6 Fashion Runway Week. I've worked in this profession for over 18 years, and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. I was meant to attend the event on August 2nd in Delhi, a place I've always loved and where everyone has always been so warm." 'But this time, the organisers failed to provide basic safety, hospitality, and commitments. They promised, but they moved the hotel without notification, leaving me in an unknown and shady location with no help from their side," she added. Sara Khan Accused Organisers of Threatening Team Members The actress further shared that the only relief provided to her was a car and driver, which she considered insufficient and unpleasant given the overall disorganisation. When she refused to continue with the event under such circumstances, one of the organisers allegedly threatened her team members. Feeling scared and unprotected, she had to book her travel back and take necessary precautions to ensure her and her team's safety. Sara also apologised to the fans waiting for her at the event and said, 'I apologise to those who were expecting me at the event. I'm very sorry for that. My safety was at stake, and I had to prioritise it. This incident was very inappropriate, and I'm speaking out to warn others in the profession." She wrote in the caption, 'After years of doing events, this was the worst experience I'd ever had. I don't want to name anyone because this was the entire management's duty, which they failed to meet. I'm just sharing this video to remind my fellow artists and colleagues to be aware and take the required precautions. It was even my fault that I completely trusted the event management's words. As they say, experiences are very crucial for learning." Sara Khan's Work Front Sara will be next seen alongside Rajpal Yadav in the upcoming film, Camp Decent. Helmed by Sandeep Kumar Rana, the official release date of the film is yet to be announced. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
