WATCH: Harshit Rana breaks a bail with fiery delivery in DPL 2025 match, fined for aggressive send-off to West Delhi batter
India pacer Harshit Rana's aggressive gestures have landed him in trouble again as he received a fine for a provocative send-off after shattering the batter's bail during the Delhi Premier Lrague 2025 (DPL) match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Monday.
The incident took place in Match 19 of the tournament during West Delhi's chase of 166 runs. Leading the North Delhi Strikers in the tournament, Rana provided the early breakthrough by shattering West Delhi batter Ayush Doseja's stumps, even shattering a bail with his effort. Rana followed his pacy delivery with an aggressive gesture that seemingly urged the batter to 'go away'.
'Harshit Rana has been fined 10% of the match fees for breaching the Adani Delhi Premier League T20 Code of Conduct. Rana admitted to the Level 1 Offence under Article 2.5 (Using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from another player in the Match) and accepted the Match Referee's sanction,' the DPL's official statement read.

North Delhi Strikers batter Yajas Sharma and West Delhi Lions batter Krish Yadav were both docked 20% of their match fees for incidents in the same game.

After choosing to bat first, the North Delhi Strikers posted a total of 165/9. The innings was anchored by Sarthak Rajan, who top-scored with 42 runs off 33 balls, and a valuable 40 runs off 22 balls from Arjun Rapria. For West Delhi, Mayank Gusain was the standout bowler, taking an impressive 3 wickets for just 2 runs, supported by Shubam Dubey with 2 wickets for 26 runs.
Despite a heroic innings of 51 runs off 24 balls from Hrithik Shokeen, the West Delhi Lions could only manage 154/8 in their 20 overs. Deepanshu Gulia was the top bowler for the North Delhi Strikers, taking 3 wickets for 44 runs to restrict the Lions.
