In the last window in Nov 2024, 30 applications were received for films made from 2016 to 2023. Entertainment Society of Goa chairperson Delilah Lobo said that the grant will be given to select films. 'The scrutiny is complete, and an evaluation committee will now begin grading the applications. The finance committee will then decide on the distribution of funds for the selected projects,' Lobo said.
Feature films get financial aid in three categories—A category Rs 50 lakh, B category Rs 30 lakh, and C category Rs 10 lakh. Producers can receive up to 50% of the total expenditure, based on an audited statement or income tax return (ITR) filed, whichever is lesser.
For non-feature films, grants include—A category Rs 10 lakh, B category Rs 5 lakh, and C category Rs 3 lakh, covering up to 50% of expenditure, as per audited statement and ITR, whichever is lesser.
