"Powerhouse Programs. Real World Coaches, Electric Traditions. Experience it all in #CFB26," the caption said on social media. In the white jersey with purple numbers, Nussmeier held up an "L" with his right hand and a customary cross eye back on both cheeks. He stood next to Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik, whom he'll face off with in Week One. Coaches, current and former student-athletes combined to represent 14 schools on the cover. From ex-LSU commits and current Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood, former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow and Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, past and present names from the game came together to promote the newest edition of the popular video game. Fans can pre-order the game, which will be released on July 10. EA Sports revived the tradition last season by paying players to use their NIL for its creation.

Florida football QB DJ Lagway, Tim Tebow appear on EA Sports College Football 26 cover EA Sports revealed the Deluxe Edition cover for its upcoming College Football 26 video game on Tuesday, and two Florida Gators are front and center. Current Florida football quarterback DJ Lagway and legendary Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow appear side by side in the latest edition of the popular franchise's deluxe sleeve. The cover photo, packed with prominent past and present college football figures, highlights both the future and history of Florida football. Lagway, heading into his sophomore season, is expected to play a pivotal role for the Gators this fall. As a freshman, Lagway played in 12 games and started seven of them, garnering a 6-1 record. He passed for 1,915 yards with a 59.9 percent completion rate, logged 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Tebow, widely considered one of the greatest college football players of all time, led the Gators to two national championships during his career and won the Heisman Trophy in 2007. Other notable names on the Deluxe Edition cover of College Football 26 Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Ryan Williams and Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith are the two names on the front of the Deluxe Edition cover. Other current players include Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik and Penn State running back Nick Singleton. Coaches like the Georgia Bulldogs' Kirby Smart, Notre Dame's Marcus Freeman, Ole Miss Rebels' Lane Kiffin and Ohio State's Ryan Day are included. Former EA cover stars are also featured, including former USC Trojans running back Reggie Bush and Michigan Wolverines running back Denard Robinson. College Football 26 release date information The game is scheduled for release on July 10, with pre-orders readily available. It marks the second installment since the series returned following a decade-long hiatus and the implementation of NIL rules allowing player likenesses. After much success, the franchise is back on track and more popular than ever, as College Football 26 just released its cover art ahead of this summer's release. Like the first edition, Texas A&M was barely featured in one of the two covers, which made sense given the other players and teams leading into the 2025 season, led by cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter, who was recently selected second overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2025 NFL Draft. Advertisement For the 26 cover, it's again no surprise the players chosen to don the cover, as standout sophomore Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams and fellow sophomore Ohio State star pass catcher Jeremiah Smith were the players selected after breakout seasons for both future first-round draft picks. What has become kind of a game for Aggie fans started back up on Tuesday, as Texas A&M was, in fact, featured in the top right corner of the regular cover in the form of a flag, but not included in the Deluxe Edition despite featuring nearly every fanbase. Whether the Aggies are being snubbed on purpose is up for debate. Still, if I had to surmise, Texas A&M's 1-4 finish after starting 7-1 last season likely played a part in not being widely represented, while, outside of senior running back Le'Veon Moss, quarterback Marcel Reed and wide receiver KC Concepcion, the Aggies' 2025 roster is very talented, but lacks star recognition due to last season's late struggles.
