Uzbek institute to collaborate with IGKV in agri research

Raipur: A delegation from an institute of entrepreneurship and pedagogy in Uzbekistan will visit Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV) here on Aug 21 to explore collaborations in agricultural education and research. An eight-member delegation from Denau Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy will observe the infrastructure and research facilities available at the university, IGKV spokesperson said on Sunday. A brainstorming session will also be held, chaired by IGKV vice-chancellor Girish Chandel. Senior officials, scientists, and professors from both institutions will discuss collaboration opportunities in agriculture, environment, water conservation, and other scientific fields, the spokesperson added. Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) deputy director-general RK Agarwal will also be present at the session. IGKV and Denau Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy signed a pact on April 17. The agreement allows students from both institutions to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs. The pact also facilitates faculty and scientist exchanges for research and study. The brainstorming session will include discussions on educational reforms, academic innovations, and research collaborations in areas such as horticulture, oilseeds, fibre crops, fisheries, forestry, agro-chemistry, plant protection, agri-business, and food processing.
