4th annual LGBTQIA+ conference in Bristol discusses issues facing community
BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — A gathering in Bristol Friday discusses issues important to Connecticut's LGBTQIA+ community.
Connecticut officials underscore challenges for LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month
The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Women's Consortium hosted the conference, which is held annually during Pride Month.
'Here in Connecticut, the governor and I are very proud that Connecticut is recognized as one of the best states in the country for the LGBTQ+ community,' Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz said.
The conference discussed a number of topics, including discrimination that still exists around the world.
