Dr Shazia made Dean of UAF Faculty of Arts & Humanities
FAISALABAD: Governor Punjab/Chancellor has appointed Prof Dr Shazia Ramzan, the Chairperson of Department of Islamic Studies as the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Agriculture Faisalabad. She is the founder dean of the faculty and has assumed the charge. She has profound experience in the academia and research work and author of five books and numerous research papers. Interfaith harmony termed key to religious co-existence
Experts have stressed that social harmony is not merely a religious issue but is often manipulated for personal, political, and economic gains. They were addressing a seminar on "Interfaith Harmony in Pakistani Society: Challenges and Prospects" was held at GC University Faisalabad, organised by the Department of Islamic Studies in collaboration with the Punjab Government's Department of Human Rights and Minority Affairs and the organisation Insan Dost. Vice Chancellor Dr Rauf-i-Azam underscored the role of such discussions in fostering moderation, tolerance, and mutual respect within society. Head of the Department of Islamic Studies Dr Yasir Arafat Awan, highlighted the seminar's significance in addressing the critical need for interfaith harmony in Pakistan. Dr Ghulam Shamsur Rehman discussed the evolving challenges of interfaith harmony, calling the 21st century an era of opportunities.
