Zakat assistance reached QR40 mn in July: Awqaf
The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Department of Zakat Affairs, announced that the total financial assistance provided during July 2025 reached QR40,336,734, benefiting 4,500 families throughout the country, as part of the persistent efforts to support eligible groups and promote social solidarity. Head of the Zakat Disbursement Section, Saeed Hadi Al Marri, underscored the commitment to delivering zakat funds to their rightful recipients as per the prescribed religious guidelines and approved regulations, in pursuit of fulfilling the obligations of donors and contributing to building a compassionate and tight-knit community.
