An 11-year-old girl
killed in a crash in Kaikohe last week
will be farewelled at Destiny's Iwi Tapu Tribes Church on the town's main street today.
The service and kai hākari will be followed by cremation at Far North Memorial Gardens near Kerikeri.
Staci Walkley was less than two months away from her 12th birthday last Wednesday when, according to police, the people mover she was in was T-boned by a car travelling at speed through the Hillcrest Road and Orrs Road intersection.
Two of her siblings were seriously injured and flown to hospitals in Whangārei and Auckland.
Two youths in the other car fled on foot but were later found nearby by police.
Charges have yet to be laid.
