Two arrests after drone flown over HMP Long Lartin
Two men were arrested after a drone was flown over a prison and contraband seized from a car, police were called to a report of a drone over HMP Long Lartin, in South Littleton, near Evesham, Worcestershire, at about 21:30 BST on a short pursuit, a car was stopped on the A46, near Simon de Montfort Bridge, where a drone battery and cannabis were found inside the vehicle, West Mercia Police arrested pair, aged 25 and 28, were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to convey prohibited items into a prison, the force added. Officers said a drone and other items were also discovered after a further search with a dog unit in the nearby Ch Insp James Bamber said the force currently had two people in custody after officers intercepted a suspect vehicle linked to the drone sighting."Contraband believed to be intended for behind the prison walls was seized from the car along with a drone," he added."We are continuing in our efforts to detect and disrupt drone activity over the prison, and build a greater intelligence picture to ultimately dismantle the organised crime groups behind the operations." Two arrested after drone spotted above HMP Long Lartin
Two men have been arrested after a drone was seen circling above a device was spotted hovering in the airspace of HMP Long Lartin in South Littleton, Worcestershire, at about 22:30 BST on stopped a car about 20 minutes later and found a drone in the vehicle, West Mercia Police men, aged 19 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to convey prohibited items into a prison.
