Search for suspect after 17-year-old stabbed
A police investigation has been launched after a teenager was stabbed. Emergency services were called to a property in Martyrs Avenue in Langley Green, near Crawley, West Sussex, at about 21:50 BST on Thursday. A boy, 17, was treated for a suspected stab wound and taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition, Sussex Police said. Enquiries remain ongoing to locate a suspect, the force added. Det Supt Suzy Joseph said: "We understand this is a concerning incident for the community, but we would ask the public to please avoid the scene while officers carry out their enquiries. "A fast-moving investigation is now underway." There will be police activity in the area while the investigation continues, she added.
