Man charged in relation to homicide in Ōtāhuhu, Auckland

A man has been charged in relation to a homicide in Ōtāhuhu, Auckland.
Emergency services were called to a house on Beatty Street about 8.30pm on Sunday, after reports a person had been seriously injured, police said.
He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.
On Monday evening, a man was taken into custody by police.
Detective Inspector Karen Bright announced on Tuesday morning a 31-year-old man had been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear in Manukau District Court.
"This is a great result and Police haven't ruled out the possibility of further charges," Detective Inspector Bright said.
Birght said the investigation remains ongoing.
